In her view, once Xiaofeng married Yecheng, she would end up like herself and her husband, mutually disdainful. Thus, such a woman needed to be told upfront, to leave with the awareness of her own situation.
When Yan Ruolan mentioned Xiaofeng’s lack of education, Yan Junmei remembered Xiaofeng’s fluent English and couldn’t help but speak up for her, "I don’t care about the rest, I’m only concerned about the child’s lineage."

Their target started with the Quan Family.
