He Ximei had already changed into a new outfit, preparing for her and Guaizi to go out and toast the guests soon when she heard Xiaofeng’s words. She looked around, "Maybe he went to change his clothes."
"No, I’ve looked everywhere, but I can’t find him."
He Ximei frowned, and San Shupu came in from the outside with a face full of shock, "Something’s happened, something’s happened, you all better go out and see for yourselves."
"Hu Xiulan is making a scene outside, claiming that Su Peng got drunk, barged into her daughter’s room, and tried to do ’that’ to Taozi. You all better go have a look."
This Hu Xiulan really never gave anyone peace of mind; there was always something with her.
Xiaofeng’s eyebrows furrowed tight upon hearing this.
Startled, He Ximei rushed outside.
Hu Xiulan was at her own doorstep yelling loudly, "Everyone, come and see! I only went out to pee, and some hooligan breaks into my home, attempting to do ’that’ to my daughter. My daughter was just staying in her own room; who did she bother, for someone to treat her ?"
There were already many guests today, but with Hu Xiulan making such a fuss, no one cared to eat anymore; they surged over to see for themselves.
Hu Xiulan sat in her own living room, cursing the heavens and the earth.
"Everyone take a look at this fool. His brain is not cured at all; he’s gone stupid again after drinking too much. You all know well what’s wrong with my daughter, and yet this fool, thinking I was not at home and only Taozi was at home, barged in. Although my daughter is insane and not lucid now, she doesn’t deserve to be treated ."
Everyone looked over to see Su Peng with his eyes shut tight, collapsed on top of Su Xiaotao, who acted as if she had discovered something incredible, hugging and kissing Su Peng.
Su Peng had just been outside, and now within such a short time he got drunk and turned up there, making it hard for everyone to believe.
But with the scene in front of them, they had no choice but to believe that at this moment, Su Peng indeed had Taozi pinned underneath him, with his hands on her chest.
This picture left much to the imagination.
"Everybody look, did he suddenly fall sick again? If not, he wouldn’t treat my Taozi this way. Obviously, his mind is problematic again," Hu Xiulan, in intense distress about the situation, said, "My daughter may not be worth much now, but our family won’t allow her to be bullied ."
When He Ximei and Xiaofeng squeezed in, they heard just that.
Their gaze shifted to Su Xiaotao’s room where they saw Su Peng, passed out, as well as Su Xiaotao who was touching and kissing him.
Su Xiaotao was now mad; whatever she did, everyone found understandable.
But Su Peng was now sane; a normal person seeking out Su Xiaotao, this was beyond comprehension.
In the ten miles and eight villages around, who didn’t know that Su Xiaotao was mad, a ruined person carrying a serious disease?
A madwoman, and a diseased madwoman at that, normal people would probably rather not even look at her.
"Pengzi, Pengzi, what’s wrong with you?" Seeing this scene, He Ximei stepped forward hastily, pulling Su Peng over, her eyes warily watching Su Xiaotao, "What have you done to my son?"
"He’s my man, I want to hug him, I want to kiss him." Su Xiaotao’s clothes were disheveled as she stood up, puckering her lips to kiss him.
Watching Su Xiaotao’s actions, He Ximei instinctively slapped her, "You crazy woman, what are you trying to do?"
"You fat woman, why did you hit my daughter? It’s your son who got drunk and stormed into my daughter’s room. Since he ended up in my daughter’s room, whatever my daughter wants to do is naturally up to her," Hu Xiulan stood up and protected Su Xiaotao behind her, like a hen guarding its food.
Xiaofeng went over to check Su Peng’s pulse. Su Peng’s internal energy was even, not like he was passed out drunk but rather as if he had fallen asleep.
That raises the question; Su Peng had just been hosting guests at home, and in only a matter of minutes, how did he end up in Su Xiaotao’s room, then pass out?
If it were the old Su Peng with his former intelligence, this matter might be easy to explain: a lapse in his foolish mind, for there aren’t so many whys in the world of a fool.
But the present Su Peng was not the same Su Peng from before.
"You fat woman, your son had problems with his mind before, I think his brain must be having issues again. He’s tall and strong; just barging into my daughter’s room makes it obvious what he intended to do," Hu Xiulan said, and then she let out a cold laugh, "Let’s hear it, folks. Could it be that this fool is longing for a wife, and so he set his sights on my Taozi?"
The villagers looked at one another. A fool paired with a madwoman; the match sounded oddly fitting.
