Guests who can enter Lange Yuntian naturally belong to the wealthy and privileged class.
The woman before them was merely a server, just a mundane server, and yet she dared to raise her voice in front of her, showing no sign of the professionalism expected of a server.
The ladies nearby, watching Lan Shuixian drenched from head to toe, felt a touch of malicious glee. To them, a server should act the part; eavesdropping on guests was one thing, but raising her voice at a guest was unacceptable.
Lange Yuntian prides itself on respecting guest privacy, and the server’s behavior, if reported to management, would surely result in dismissal.

"You can talk about others, but not Su Xiaofeng. She’s not what you say she is; she is loyal and kind-hearted, a truly good person. Even if it costs me my job, I will argue the point with you." In fact, she had already resigned from her position there.
She now had her own little store and didn’t have the time to come here. For some reason, the manager had not approved her resignation, which frustrated her greatly.

"Who are you calling a turkey? I think you’re the real turkey here," Lan Shuixian said indignantly, upon hearing the unpleasant remarks. "You’re all supposed to be ladies who understand etiquette, yet you gossip so vilely behind others’ backs. I don’t see how you’re any more refined."
These people were truly insufferable.
"You think you have the right to dictate our behavior? I find you truly astonishing. Call your manager over; I want to see how they will handle this." The noble lady laughed coldly at Lan Shuixian’s words.
Even now, still stubborn as a mule, they would see if she still had that stubbornness in a moment.
"No need to call the manager; I will leave on my own shortly. I’ve been wanting to quit for a while. What’s the big deal if I don’t get a month’s salary? I’ll just let it go." Lan Shuixian said as she took off her server’s jacket and threw it to the ground: "Xiaofeng is my good friend, so naturally, I cannot ignore hearing you speak ill of her."
Those around thought Lan Shuixian must have gone mad at her actions.
The manager, hearing the commotion, rushed over.
"You’ve arrived at the right time, this is your server, isn’t she? We were having a conversation, and she interfered, which has severely displeased me. See to it that it’s taken care of, or I’ll cancel my membership."
A mere server thinking she could handle her.

The manager was odd for not letting a part-time employee quit; she wasn’t even a full-timer.
