Xiaofeng listened to Mrs. Qian’s words and gave a cold laugh, "Really? I’m also looking forward to that day, hoping everything will turn out as you wish."
Being driven out of the Gu Family’s door, the thought was truly a bit thrilling.
"Mrs. Qian, aren’t you going to cancel your membership? Please follow me." The manager, seeing Mrs. Qian and the Young Madam of the Gu Family at loggerheads, quickly led Mrs. Qian away.
Lan always seemed to have a relationship with the Young Madam of the Gu Family; on this level, she would definitely take the Young Madam’s side.
"Hmph, no need to rush me. I’ll go by myself." Mrs. Qian turned and walked away haughtily.
The large private room, due to their departure, suddenly became quiet.
"Sister Narcissus, are you okay?" Xiaonian looked at Lan Shuixian and asked with concern.
"I’m fine. It’s just that they were speaking ill of you behind your back, and I couldn’t stand it, so I argued with them a bit." Lan Shuixian picked up her clothes from the ground; "I thought the manager would fire me, but instead of firing me, she actually took that person to cancel the membership."

"Probably. I’ve been wanting to quit for a while, but the manager insisted on me staying. She even said it’s not easy to train a newbie and gave me a raise. The manager is so nice that I felt bad for insisting on quitting. Luckily, I only have to come here at night, not during the day. Otherwise, I’d be too stretched thin and couldn’t handle it all by myself."
By coming over at six in the evening, she could close her shop early and then come here. This way, her income for the month was quite substantial.
"Why are you guys here?" Lan Shuixian looked at her clothes; "Wait here for me, I’ll go change and be right back."

However, Shui Xian’s actions today were meant to protect her reputation, which is why she clashed with a guest.
This silly woman, trying to defend her honor, was almost willing to give up her job.
"But Sister Narcissus is also pretty loyal," Xiaonian, with her hands propped on the table, commented, "You weren’t wrong to have helped her before; she’s even willing to give up her job for you. That’s good."
Lan Shuixian’s loyalty meant she valued relationships. As long as someone values relationships, they’re worth being friends with; at least they’re not the type to be ungrateful when it suits them.
It didn’t take long for Lan Shuixian to come back dressed in her regular clothes; "I told the manager I’m leaving early today."
"Did your manager say anything to you?"
"She just told me to be cautious next time, not to offend guests anymore, or else she would have a hard time explaining things." While the manager said so, her gaze and attitude towards her were strange every time, as if she was some important person.
The manager was really odd; thankfully, the manager was a woman. Otherwise, she would’ve thought the manager was interested in her, especially since those looks were too ambiguous; she couldn’t avoid misinterpreting them even if she tried.
"Next time something happens, don’t bother with them."
"No way, if I hadn’t heard them, that would be one thing, but I can’t let it go after hearing it. Xiaofeng, we’re good friends now, aren’t we? I can’t stand it when I hear others talk about you like that."
"I’m telling you, next time something happens, don’t confront them yourself. Call me and Shuiling, and we’ll come over and wipe them out. If you confront them, they will bully you." Xiaonian spoke decisively.
