Reborn in the 1980s: Recapture My Devoted Husband Chapter 85

In the previous life, they met in summer. Her figure was revealed. Was it because of this that Han Yi took a liking to her?

"Where should the items be delivered?" After a long pause, Han Yi broke Lin Wan’s spiraling thoughts.

Lin Wan finally turned her head and told him where they lived. There wasn’t enough space in the shop, so they had to store it at home first.

Han Yi nodded, and once again, they fell into silence.

In their past life, they lived together for two years. Han Yi was often away with the team and rarely came back; in those two years, they met a total of five times. They didn’t spend much time together, and in Lin Wan’s view, they were both strangers.

Actually, Lin Wan wanted to talk more with him. She wanted to ask if the training in the team was hard, if he had a girlfriend, and if the missions were dangerous. But she felt it was all pointless; everyone inside faced hardship and danger. She knew from her past life that Han Yi probably didn’t have a girlfriend, otherwise, he wouldn’t have married her later.

After speaking, she hurriedly ran back inside the house. She took out the sweater she knitted for Han Yi last year from under a box and quickly packaged some beef jerky Mom made a few days ago with oiled paper.

She ran out and stuffed it all into Han Yi’s arms, afraid that he would refuse. "We haven’t met many times, but each time you’ve helped me a lot. Consider this my little token of appreciation."

Han Yi looked down at the items in his arms—a paper-wrapped package with unknown contents that he could guess were snacks, and underneath a fluffy sweater, not wrapped. "I’ll accept this, but not the sweater," he said. Accepting a piece of clothing from a girl could lead to misunderstandings.

"I just knitted it for fun, I usually sell them too. We have plenty at home. Seeing you wearing so little in such cold weather, it’s not good for your health. Please accept it," Lin Wan explained, anticipating his refusal.

"Then let me pay you," Han Yi said as he reached for his wallet, but Lin Wan was displeased, "Though we haven’t met much, we’re friends, right? Doing this means you look down on me."

"I didn’t mean it that way. The sweater is too precious."

"I know how to make these, and I don’t think they’re that valuable. Our family doesn’t lack these. If it were anything else, I might have been reluctant to part with it." Han Yi persisted, and so did Lin Wan.

Han Yi glanced at the stubborn girl standing there with an attitude that he must accept, and looked down at his watch. If he kept dawdling, he wouldn’t have time to talk to Grandma.

So he compromised and nodded to Lin Wan, "Thank you."

Seeing him accept, Lin Wan happily saw him off and didn’t forget to remind him to drive carefully. She stood at the door for a long time, waiting until Han Yi’s car disappeared from her sight before returning home.

In the car, Han Yi kept watching Lin Wan through the rearview mirror. Only after seeing her return home did he relax subtly.

After returning home, Han Yi talked with Grandma while helping her wash clothes. It wasn’t until after two o’clock that he left for the dormitory.

In fact, his injury had healed completely long ago, but the hospital required him to have three post-discharge check-ups. If it weren’t for wanting to see Grandma, he wouldn’t have made this trip.

Carrying the sweater, Han Yi went straight to the dormitory. Since Lin Wan hadn’t wrapped it when she gave it to him, people saw it along the way. A few close pals even came over to hold and admire the sweater.

"Han Yi, who knitted this for you? It’s much better than those sold in the city malls," asked Gao Ran. Gao Ran, a Second Generation, had seen everything since childhood. If he praised the sweater, it must be good.
