Upon remembering the very first sight of Xu Niannian, Ye Shaoting was filled with infinite emotion.

Jin Yu lifted his foot, aiming to kick the man off the bed, but luckily, Shaoting was quick-witted enough to dodge.
"Why the hell are you kicking me?"
Getting up slowly and deliberately, Jin Yu met Shaoting’s angry face and said, "I’m in a pretend marriage with her."
"Huh?" Shaoting was bewildered: "Pretend marriage? Are you playing around?"

After listening, Shaoting wore a face of disbelief, "So, you’re indifferent to such an exceptional woman, with no plan to turn the faux into the real?"
"No plans," Jin Yu said, exasperated. Only a fool would marry a woman who couldn’t stay put.
Shaoting looked at Jin Yu in shock, then suddenly lunged forward, grabbing Jin Yu’s shoulders and shaking him, "Tell me, you’re not interested in men."
Jin Yu rubbed his brow, lifted his foot, and finally managed to kick the defenseless Shaoting onto the floor.
"I have a woman I want to marry," he said bluntly.
Unperturbed by being kicked to the ground, Shaoting looked up at Jin Yu’s impatient face and said with a hopeless look, "You’re not interested in a woman like Xu Niannian; who do you want to marry then, a Heavenly Immortal?"
"It’s not about looks," Jin Yu said as he collapsed back onto the bed. "It’s a matter of responsibility."
"Responsibility issue?" Shaoting was surprised. "Are you promised to another woman for life?"
Jin Yu did not plan to tell Shaoting about the woman he had forcefully taken during a mission.
He simply said, "I’ll marry no one but her."
"Tsk, tsk, tsk," Shaoting shook his head, "I’ve been on the same team as you, we grew up together, and up to a month ago, in your eyes, all women were wallflowers. Now you’re telling me you have a woman you want to marry?"
Shaoting was clearly unwilling to believe this, but Jin Yu had no reason to lie to him.
