Li Yifan’s first reaction was to look at Gu Yi standing next to him.
He didn’t know how to comfort her.
Earlier, when he came over, he saw Gu Yi alone in the pavilion crying.
Before reaching the ward, he thought Gu Yi was worried about Ye Hao.
But after hearing what Ye Hao said.
He guessed these two had a fight and were on bad terms.
"Ye Hao just got injured, his mood might be a bit off, try to be understanding."
Li Yifan said to Gu Yi.
After all, the person lying inside was his brother.
He couldn’t just watch a perfectly good home fall apart.
"Thank you, I’m aware."
Gu Yi tugged at the corner of her mouth toward Li Yifan.
Li Yifan looked at Gu Yi’s forced smile.
He silently prayed, Ye Hao, recover quickly, otherwise if you make your wife leave, there won’t be a place even to cry.
"Are you blind with lard or covered with dog feces? Gu Yi is such a good wife, and you’re saying you don’t want her, and want to marry Yang Lin. I’m telling you right now, if you still recognize us as your parents, you live your life properly and don’t cause any more trouble."
Ye Fu angrily began scolding inside.
Ye’s mother hurriedly pulled Ye Fu away.
"Don’t be angry, dad; Hao Hao just woke up, maybe he hasn’t fully understood. Don’t scold him, Hao Hao. Today, your dad and I’s stance is here; we only recognize Gu Yi as our daughter-in-law. Don’t think about anyone else. You sleep some more, I’ll take your dad out for a walk."
Ye’s mother said to Ye Fu, then turned to Ye Hao.
After saying this, Ye’s mother took Ye Fu to the door.
When they opened the door, they saw Gu Yi and Li Yifan standing outside.
"Yiyi, you’re back, come in. I’ll take your dad out for some air."
Ye’s mother felt her heart skip when she saw Gu Yi.
But she quickly adjusted herself and smiled at Gu Yi.
Gu Yi knew Ye Family was worried about her, so she pretended not to know anything and smiled at Ye’s mother.
"Okay, the scenery in the pavilion is nice; I just came from there."
Ye’s mother smiled, nodded, and then led Ye Fu away.
After they left, Gu Yi asked Li Yifan to go in first.
She followed behind, glanced at Ye Hao sitting on the bed, said nothing, and started pouring water for Li Yifan.
Ye Hao happened to look up and caught her gaze.
For some reason, he felt uncomfortable.
He knew Gu Yi must have heard what he said, so he wanted to explain.
But he didn’t know what he wanted to explain.
"Ye Hao, how are you feeling today?"
Li Yifan sat next to Ye Hao and asked.
Although Ye Hao was replying to Li Yifan, his eyes were secretly observing Gu Yi.
Noticing Gu Yi kept herself busy and didn’t look at him again.
Ye Hao felt like there was a rabbit wanting to jump out of the cage but couldn’t find the exit, a restless feeling.
Li Yifan also noticed Ye Hao’s reaction but said nothing.
"Li Camp Commander, have some water."
Gu Yi poured a cup of water for Li Yifan and refilled Ye Hao’s cup too.
But she didn’t give it to Ye Hao, only placed it on the table by the bed.
"Li Camp Commander, sit for a while, I have something to do, I’ll be out."
Seeing there was nothing to do, Gu Yi greeted Li Yifan and went out.
"Okay, you do your things."
Li Yifan quickly stood up and replied.
Gu Yi nodded and walked out, without giving Ye Hao a glance.
"Sister-in-law, wait for me, I’ll go with you."
Ye Qian watched her sister-in-law leave and quickly followed.
Ye Hao just watched them leave.
"Is it killing you now?"
Li Yifan laughed with a bit of schadenfreude.
Ye Hao looked at him, unwilling to respond.
"Now you’re playing the victim role; who was the one shouting for a divorce earlier?"
Li Yifan didn’t plan on letting him off.
"I wasn’t just shouting, I’m serious about the divorce."
Ye Hao looked seriously at Li Yifan.
This made Li Yifan lose his smile.
"Why? Because of Yang Lin?"
He couldn’t understand, weren’t these two always doing well, how come Ye Hao got injured and wanted to leave, and even said he wanted to be with Yang Lin, could it be he just realized Yang Lin was his true love?
"Partly because of Yang Lin, but more due to issues between us."
Ye Hao spoke directly to Li Yifan.
"What issues between you two? Weren’t things good before?"
"There are some things I can’t tell you, you’ll know in the future."
Ye Hao initially wanted to tell Li Yifan about Gu Yi having someone outside.
But he thought better of it, if said, Gu Yi would not be able to hold her head high.
Though they couldn’t be a couple, they didn’t have to be enemies.
Li Yifan looked at Ye Hao’s expression, knowing Ye Hao definitely knew something about Gu Yi.
It should be something where Gu Yi wronged Ye Hao.
Otherwise, with Ye Hao’s temperament, it wouldn’t escalate to the point of divorce.
But what was it, Li Yifan couldn’t figure out.
On the other hand, Ye Qian caught up with Gu Yi.
"Sister-in-law, did you hear what my brother said just now?"
Ye Qian worriedly asked, holding onto Gu Yi’s arm.
Gu Yi replied looking at the end of the corridor.
"Sister-in-law, don’t be upset, my brother isn’t clear-minded now, and we don’t agree on the divorce, my parents and I."
Ye Qian quickly stated her position to Gu Yi.
Gu Yi was amused by Ye Qian’s attitude.
It seems all the care she gave her wasn’t in vain.
"Sister-in-law, where are you going now?"
Ye Qian thought Gu Yi was trying to avoid her brother, that’s why she came out.
But she seemed to have a destination.
"I’m going to the doctor’s office to ask about your brother, he’s been acting strange these past few days."
Gu Yi didn’t hide it from Ye Qian.
"Then I’ll accompany you."
"If we both go, what about your brother needing water?"
Gu Yi smiled at Ye Qian.
"Let him take care of it, he’s had it too good for too long."
Ye Qian had an air of not wanting to deal with her brother.
Gu Yi thought with Li Yifan in the ward, nothing much would happen, so she let Ye Qian follow her.
When Gu Yi found the doctor’s office, the doctor was alone looking at case files.
Gu Yi knocked on the door, went in, and told the doctor about Ye Hao’s reactions over the past two days.
After listening, the doctor kept muttering.
"How could this situation occur?"
"Doctor, my brother has been really abnormal these two days, he’s the same with my parents, but he’s very bad towards my sister-in-law, and yet very nice to another girl he didn’t like much before."
Ye Qian said quickly seeing the doctor hadn’t answered them.
"From what you’re saying, it seems the patient’s memory is somewhat confused, maybe he suffered a shock causing some brain injury."
After a moment of silence, the doctor spoke to Gu Yi and Ye Qian.
"Memory confusion? What should we do now?"
Upon hearing this, Gu Yi realized if true, it explained Ye Hao’s attitude towards her and Yang Lin.
She wanted to know what she should do to help Ye Hao sort things out quickly.
