Jiang Peiqin knew Xinyan’s family conditions were good, so she smiled and casually put the candy back into her pocket.
She glanced backward and saw Ling Wenhao had already driven away, then whispered, "Xinyan, I want to tell you something."
Xinyan turned to look at her, "Got any insider news again?"
Jiang Peiqin put both hands in her pockets and walked forward, "The City’s Investment Bureau wants to come to the school to find a few translators who are good at speaking. Are you interested?"
Xinyan immediately understood; this was probably the news from today’s engagement banquet, "I don’t have time at the moment. I submitted an application for a minor in French with the department, no time."
Jiang Peiqin made an ’oh’ sound, "That’s a pity. Your spoken language is so good, I even recommended you to them."
Xinyan heard this and said, "Thank you for your kindness, but I really don’t have time."
She has to study English, minor in French, do translation work for Professor Tao, and learn traditional Chinese medicine from her mentor every week. Even with talent, she has to take it easy.
If she has time in the future and encounters such things, she can go over and gain some experience.
Jiang Peiqin gave Xinyan a thumbs-up, "You really are impressive."

As they talked, they entered the dormitory building.

Xinyan glanced around the dormitory and noticed there was another girl she didn’t recognize inside.
Before anyone else said anything, she heard the girl speak, "The main person is here, I won’t talk to you anymore."
The girl stood up and looked at Xinyan, "Hello, Han Xinyan, I am Zhao Xiaoxue from the German class."
Xinyan frowned a bit, but still replied, "Hello."
Zhao Xiaoxue glanced at Xinyan’s bed, "Han Xinyan, I want to discuss something with you."
Xinyan noticed her earlier glance and felt a bit puzzled: What does this girl mean, could she want to swap dormitories with me?
Then Zhao Xiaoxue said, "It’s like this; I heard that since the National Day holiday, you haven’t been staying in the dormitory, right?"
Xinyan walked towards the table while nodding, "Yes."
Upon hearing her response, Zhao Xiaoxue said somewhat embarrassedly, "Han Xinyan, it’s like this; my cousin is coming to the Capital for work, and I’m thinking since you don’t stay in the dormitory at night anyway, can you let my cousin stay for a few days?"
Xinyan furrowed her eyebrows, "Zhao Xiaoxue, the school has regulations that do not allow outsiders to stay overnight."
Zhao Xiaoxue laughed, "My cousin will only stay for a few days; if we don’t mention it to others, no one will know."
Upon hearing this, Xinyan directly refused, "I’m sorry, I don’t want to do anything against school rules. There’s a guesthouse outside of school; you can let her stay there."
Upon hearing Xinyan’s refusal, Zhao Xiaoxue’s smile vanished, "It’s because I don’t want to spend money; that’s why I thought of borrowing your bed, otherwise, I wouldn’t have asked."
Xinyan didn’t want any unnecessary trouble because of others, so she directly refused, "I’m sorry, I don’t want to cause trouble for myself. You better look for someone else; if it truly doesn’t work out, maybe you and your cousin can share a bed in your dormitory."
Upon hearing this, Zhao Xiaoxue pulled a face, "We’re all classmates; you can’t even help with a small favor like this?"
Xinyan wouldn’t indulge her, "Sorry, can’t help, find someone else."
