Gu Lingling felt like she was having a long dream, in which she was constantly running, though not knowing what she was running from, as if something was always chasing her from behind.
"Is anyone there?" Gu Lingling stepped barefoot on the stone slab that seemed cold; a moment ago she was running non-stop, but the next second she found herself amidst a bamboo forest, with a cottage in front of her.
At this moment, she was standing at the cottage's doorway.
The moss on the stone slab felt very cold, yet strangely, she didn't feel any chill standing on it.
The house was clean and spacious, with only one table in the center, and on the table, there was a box. Gu Lingling carefully scrutinized the room and eventually fixed her gaze on the box.
She was never a curious person, originally thinking of leaving just like that, but for some reason, she couldn't step over the threshold.

The intense concern and worry made Gu Lingling turn her head wanting to explore the source of that voice.
"Gu Lingling, wake up, stop sleeping." The anxious cello-like voice continuously flowed into Gu Lingling's ears as if it possessed some magical power. Gu Lingling nodded, "Alright, I'm awake, I'm awake."
But she still couldn't get out of that door.
Gu Lingling anxiously tried again, but still couldn't get out, "Who are you? What exactly do you want to do?"
Gu Lingling shook her head vigorously.
"Lingling, Gu Lingling, it's Yang Yunhai, can you hear what I'm saying?" Yang Yunhai's calloused hand touched her forehead.
His hand was somewhat cold, the calloused fingers gently massaging Gu Lingling's tightly knitted brows, "It's Yang Yunhai, can you hear me?"

But why couldn't she get out no matter what?
