What does it mean when they say there’s always a taller mountain, or that one thing subdues another?
The dynamic between Liu Qing and Zhou Weiming perfectly exemplifies this.
"Zhou Weiming, you bastard." Liu Qing’s last words as she was carried into the car, "Lingling, save me."
Save?
Lingling could hardly save herself. Taking Liu Qing in was already Yang Yunhai’s biggest compromise. Would she keep her till New Year’s too? Yang Yunhai’s jealousy could shoot to the skies.
One second Liu Qing was carried into the car, the next second Gu Lingling also got in.
It had been a long time since they had their world of two, and now that the eyesore was sent away, no one wanted to disturb them.
"Focus on driving, don’t keep looking at me," Gu Lingling shot him a playful glance, then turned her gaze to the window.
People on the street were gradually increasing, unlike during the movement when people were too scared to go out. Now, when people met, they would smile and greet each other.
Gu Lingling gazed at the scenes on the street with a smile.
Suddenly, the car slowly came to a stop. Gu Lingling turned her head, meeting Yang Yunhai’s deep eyes, "What? Are we there yet?"
"Is the view outside that attractive?" Yang Yunhai looked at her.
Throughout the ride, after glancing at him once upon getting in, the girl kept staring outside. Was the outside view really that appealing? Yang Yunhai was a bit jealous.
Perhaps he should put up a shield to block the view outside?
Or had his charm dimmed so she was no longer interested in looking at him?

"You’re not looking at me," Yang Yunhai accused.

The car drove for a while longer before finally stopping at a ski resort. But it seemed not open to the public.
When Yang Yunhai arrived, a young man came out, "Brother Hai, you’re here."
He actually used a respectful form of address.
The man was stunned when he saw Gu Lingling get out of the car.
"My fiancée, I brought her here to have fun," Yang Yunhai introduced.
"Hello, sister-in-law." The man smiled, scratching the back of his head, "I’m Liu Bin, welcome to have fun here."
Yang Yunhai led her inside holding her hand.
Behind them, Liu Bin watched in amazement and waved to a young guy not far away. After whispering a few instructions to him, he hurriedly followed.
Yang Yunhai was already selecting skiing equipment for Gu Lingling.
"I don’t know how to ski," Gu Lingling said.
"I’ll teach you." Yang Yunhai affectionately tapped her nose, "With me here, what are you afraid of?"
