Reborn on Wedding Night: Flirting the Cold Bigshot into Blushes Chapter 117

Ava Wright’s face hurts right now.

The thick foundation covering the wound is highly irritating to it.

But she endured it; she could never walk out with a face full of scars.

Ava still did not call Marsh Smith as usual, she went directly to him.

She had been to the Smith family villa many times before and knew it well, even knowing the electronic lock code for the front door.

Ava entered the villa without knocking on the door.

She saw Mina Wright in the flowerbed, turning over the soil while constantly acting coquettishly towards Marsh, who was standing nearby.

Ava immediately frowned and said dissatisfiedly, "Mina Wright, what are you doing here!"

Mina covered the soil, poured some water, and then said, "What’s the fuss about? I’m here to have Brother Marsh teach me how to plant flowers. Why can’t I be here? Is the Smith family yours, Ava Wright!"

Mina and Ava had always been at odds.

The main reason was that both liked Marsh, and Marsh had been compliant with Ava for years.

Mina was extremely jealous of Ava, and unlike Amelia Wright, she was not easy to bully and was always competing with Ava.

The Wright family, comprised of three branches, was already in a state of mutual support and competition, just that Mina was not as clever as Ava, and she was always led by the nose by Ava.

But now it was different. Ava was disfigured, and Mina was no longer afraid of Ava.

Ava had been having a hard time lately, and Mina’s words made her headache even worse.

It was almost dark, what flowers was she planting?

Seeing that the situation between the two was about to escalate.

Marsh Smith walked over to stand between them and asked Ava, "Ava, is there something you came to see me about?"

"Can’t I come to see you without a reason?" Ava said aggrievedly.

But her makeup was too thick, her face painted pale, with foundation as thick as a city wall, making her aggrieved expression look somewhat frightening.

Marsh wanted to step back but was afraid of hurting Ava’s feelings, so he forced himself to stay put.

"Ava, you know that’s not what I meant."

Ava was furious inside; if it were before, she would have turned on her heels and left, waiting for Marsh to coax her back.

But now she dared not do that; she was afraid that if she left in anger, no one would come after her.

Marsh gave her a way out, and Ava contained her anger, saying lowly, "Brother Marsh, I have something I want to talk to you about."

"What do you want to talk about?"

Ava glanced at Mina, pursed her lips, and said nothing.

Seeing this, Marsh said to Mina, "Mina, go on back first, we’ll talk later."

Mina was a little dissatisfied but still obediently smiled at Marsh and said, "Alright, Brother Marsh, I’ll head back first, see you in a few days."

After Mina left, Ava said, "Brother Marsh, let’s go inside and talk."

Marsh and Ava went into the villa, and Ava headed straight to Marsh’s room.

Marsh followed behind, slightly frowning, but said nothing.

Ava often entered Marsh’s room before; she was used to this, not treating herself as an outsider.

After they returned to the room, the door was closed.

Marsh asked again, "What’s going on, can you talk now?"

Ava still didn’t speak, instead, she asked, "I’m a bit nervous, could we have a drink before we talk?"

Marsh didn’t know what Ava wanted to say.

But he was used to compromising with Ava and agreed.

After all, Ava had saved his life, and without her, he wouldn’t be who he is now.

Marsh went to the wine rack outside and brought back a bottle of red wine and two glasses.

A dense scarlet wine poured into the decanter, and Ava noticed that throughout the process, Marsh never let his gaze fall on her face.

Once, Marsh was so gentle, always looking into her eyes, always watching her face, complying with her every wish, but now, does he not even want to look at her one more time?

Marsh’s attitude only reinforced Ava’s thoughts.

She tried to make her expression gentle, saying, "I’m a bit cold, could you turn on the air conditioner, I’ll pour the wine."

Such a small matter, naturally, Marsh would not refuse Ava.

He got up and turned on the air conditioner.

Ava quickly tossed the drug in her hand into Marsh’s wine glass and calmly shook it.

When Marsh returned, Ava picked up her glass and sincerely said, "Brother Marsh, have a drink with me. All these years, all your kindness to me, I’ve kept in my heart. I’ve always been grateful to you."

Listening to Ava, Marsh’s eyes indeed softened: "Ava, don’t say that. You saved me back then, I’ve always considered you as my sister, being good to you is something I should do."

Ava’s eyes slightly lowered, indeed, men are not good beings.

Was Marsh’s attitude towards her once only considering her a little sister?

She wasn’t stupid, she could feel that Marsh treated her like a woman.

Everything changed after Amelia showed her face, and Marsh changed.

Now that she was disfigured, Marsh’s attitude was even worse than before.

Ha, little sister, she would make sure Marsh could never see her as a sister forever.

The wine was drugged.

After all, she had been touched by a disgusting man before, she didn’t care about this body anymore, she wanted Marsh to remember her forever, to mistake himself for ruining her purity, to make sure even if Marsh ended up with Amelia, behind her back, he would still have to listen to her.

Ava plotted this, her eyes full of brilliance.

She refilled Marsh’s glass with more wine, and earnestly said, "Brother Marsh, actually... I like you."

Marsh’s hand holding the wine froze, once he was single-mindedly repaying a debt of gratitude, circling around Ava daily, Ava was pretty, gentle, and he thought he liked Ava.

But now he knew he did not like Ava, moreover, her disfigured face was too terrifying.

Thinking of this, Marsh suddenly thought of Amelia’s face full of blood, and for some reason, recalling it now, it didn’t seem scary, he even felt a bit worried.

Marsh didn’t hurt Ava’s self-esteem, using silence to express his attitude.

Ava understood inside, suppressing her malicious intent, continuing, "But I know, it’s just my fantasy. Brother Marsh likes Amelia, right? I know you like her, her facial injury is mild, she won’t have scars, I... wish you both happiness."

Hearing that Amelia’s face wouldn’t scar, Marsh’s eyes brightened a bit.

At the moment, he didn’t know if he was glad Amelia’s beautiful face wasn’t ruined, or glad she wouldn’t be saddened by disfigurement.

In a flash, Marsh realized he might be crazy.

At first, when he saw Amelia, it was just the face that caught his eye.

That beautiful face, strangely gave him a sense of familiarity, making him want to get closer.

But now, why did he care more about Amelia’s feelings...
