They stopped in front of the emergency room.
Suddenly, the door opened from inside and Ronan stepped out, his steps unsteady.
Ella’s heart dropped.
’’Dr. Knight, how... how is the second master?" Ji Yan approached Ronan, his voice cracking.
Ronan closed his eyes and shook his head.
It’s impossible. Ella looked at the scene in disbelief, ’’What could possibly happen to Adrian? He is so powerful that nothing and no one can stop him! What would ever happen to him?"

But nobody could hear her.
She looked at the bunch of unresponsive people and then turned to glance at the emergency room.
Ella gritted her teeth and entered the room eventually.
But the moment she entered, her steps froze.
On the hospital bed, Adrian laid peacefully. His face was still as handsome but it no longer contained any vitally.
His eyes were closed. And the piercing beep of the monitor told her that his heart was no longer beating.
Ella’s palms turned clammy and her mind grew muddled.
She approached the hospital bed and glanced at the man who was lying motionlessly.
The man who never slept properly seemed to be sleeping so peacefully for once.
Ella stretched out her hand towards his face but the moment her finger touched his skin, a cold sensation seemed to seep into her body.
Ella’s eyes unconsciously teared up.
’’You... How could you die? You haunted me no far where I ran and now I am standing here in front of you but you...’’

Suddenly, the sound of a church bell rang.
Ella froze and a shiver crawled down her spine.
