For one, Ji Yan was extra paranoid after giving space to Ella and Adrian.

And Ji Yan did not know if it was his illusion but his second master’s face seemed to be glowing in happiness under the pale moonlight.

At Riri’s reminder, Ji Yan quickly got into the car and drove over to the entrance.
After the initial ’spice’ blunder passed, Ella had no restraints at all.
She had gobbled down the food as if she had been starving since ages.
One couldn’t blame her though. Although the ambience of this restaurant was too bland for her taste, the food had all the right spices.
A pity that Adrian couldn’t enjoy these delicacies.

This was what Ji Yan heard when he stepped out of the car to open the door for Ella.
His jaws dropped. He was so wrong. How in the world is she healthy for the second master’s health?
Forget the second master, even his own heart would someday stop beating under all this stress because of Miss Yu.

In certain aspects, Adrian considered things in a very linear and straightforward manner.

And then without hesitation, he responded, ’’Mm.’’
Ella smiled, satisfied like a cheshire cat who stole a fish.
Ji Yan nearly tumbled over. Second master, those ’mm’s of yours are getting a tad bit explosive these days.
What do you mean mm? Those doctors camping in the main mansion will poison themselves if they come to know of this.
Once Ella got inside the car, she had difficulty moving around.
Riri peeked from his basket, reaching out towards her.

’’You seem fine,’’ Adrian happened to enter the car right then.
Ella turned to the man, a bit speechless.

But she was still curious about the rose tinted glasses Adrian wore while looking at her...
Ella was still somewhat active initially but when the car started moving, she dropped into a blissful food coma.
And before she realized it, her eyes were closed. While her head kept nodding off to one side.
From the moment Adrian had gotten in the car, his gaze was focused on Ella.
And occasionally, he would look at the puppy on her lap that was being held and stroked by her.
Riri was initially looking at Ella with big eyes when a huge palm zoomed in infront of his eyes.
And in the next moment, he was encased in the palm with his head peeking out.
Riri swished his tail.
Composed as ever, Adrian placed the puppy in his basket.
’Woof woof’ Riri swished his tail even harder.
’Woof’ This time, the puppy’s voice was even softer than before, almost inaudible.
Ji Yan did not know if he was hallucinating but Riri’s docile bark almost sounded like, ’Yes, daddy. I know. I will be quiet because Mommy is sleeping.’
And to that, Ji Yan wasn’t sure whether he should laugh or cry.
’Little master, ah, little master, if you couldn’t tell that your daddy is jealous of a puppy like you, I feel sad for you.’
Ji Yan snuck a glance at his second master who had inched closer to Ella at some point and fell speechless.
On the backseat, Adrian sat next to Ella without a single change in his expressions.
His legs were crossed, his back was straight and his gaze focused forward.
Ella’s head kept nodding off but it still did not touch his arm.
Adrian’s brows tugged together.
Ji Yan closed his eyes and swerved his car towards the left.
On cue, Ella lost her balance and landed on Adrian’s lap.
Her eyes opened slightly, a hint of confusion muddling her vision.
