Reborn With A Technology System In A Fantasy World Chapter 126

Adrian pushed open the door to the Simulation Chamber, stepping through into absolute, overwhelming whiteness!

He stood on a surface that felt solid yet yield, radiating the same blinding white as everything else. He looked down at his gloved hand – the Power Suit was still there, a stark black and blue contrast against the void.

Adrian took a step forward. Then another. The white consumed everything. He turned, trying to see the door he had just come through, but it was gone, swallowed by the light.

He looked up, expecting a ceiling but saw none. There were no walls or barriers either, and the place seemed to stretch forth endlessly.

A profound sense of dislocation washed over him.

"I feel... different," he murmured, the sound strangely flat in the vast emptiness.

" isn’t my actual body."

He flexed his hands, touched his face. The sensations were there. He could feel the pressure of his glove against his cheek, but beneath it all was an undeniable hollowness.

He felt like a perfect, hyper-realistic projection. His senses reported faithfully, yet the fundamental substance was missing.

[Welcome to the Simulation Chamber!]

[Within this construct, reality bends to your will.]

Adrian focused intently, and he pictured himself not in the Power Suit, but in a blue jean and black T-shirt.

The change was instantaneous and silent. One moment he was encased in advanced armor, the next he felt the soft cotton against his skin.

He looked down, running a hand over the plain fabric. "Incredible."

The sensation was perfect. The suit was simply... gone.

He recalled the immense, terrifying presence of the Magua Sovereign had faced recently.

The transformation wasn’t gradual; it was a sudden, overwhelming shift in perspective. The white void rushed away as he grew, his viewpoint soaring upwards.

He felt the immense, dense mass of his new body, the terrifying heat radiating from his core, the hardness of his volcanic rock skin.

Rivers of lava pulsed beneath the surface, visible through fissures. He clenched a fist, watching magma drip and solidify instantly on the white floor.

Power, thrummed through this simulated form, a heady, intoxicating sensation. He could feel the potential for destruction in his new body.

"The possibilities are endless," his voice boomed.

He stretched his colossal arms, feeling the sheer, terrifying potential.

"But I’m not here to play."

With a focused thought, the immense form collapsed inwards, shrinking, cooling, solidifying back into Adrian’s original form.

Now, for the real work. Adrian closed his eyes, picturing the Corrupted Lands from the map.

The white void dissolved. Replacing it, occupying the space of a vast room, was an enormous, shimmering holographic map.

It wasn’t flat; it was a topographical projection, showing elevation, terrain features, and known landmarks in intricate detail where data existed.

Adrian stepped forward, reaching out. His fingers passed through the projection of a mountain peak, yet he could feel the texture. It was an illusion, yet profoundly real.

A wave of profound control, almost godhood, washed over him. He could manipulate reality itself here.

He willed the projection to shrink, hovering just above the ground at chest height for easier study. Circling it slowly, he traced the glowing paths he had traveled.

It began beyond the Corrupted Land’s borders, where a vast desert sprawled endlessly.

The expanse halted abruptly at the edge of the two-kilometer-long bridge, and on the far side was the towering mountain range, forming a natural barricade that guarded the entrance to the Corrupted Lands.

Beyond the mountains lay the barren expanse where Adrian had first set foot in this forsaken territory.

The map rendered it in stark detail: cracked earth and desolate plains stretched out. Yet much of the projection was shrouded in grey, details obscured and marked as uncovered.

Only the paths Adrian had traversed glowed with clarity.

From this barren waste rose the sprawling forest that stretched far into the distance. Next came the rocky hills, followed by a shallow, dry riverbed.

Then came a region Adrian knew well: the frozen expanse. Beyond it lay the dreaded Volcanic Wastelands and finally the map revealed his current location.

This was the extent of his knowledge; beyond these borders, the map faded into a mysterious void, and even within the known regions, countless gaps remained.

He frowned at the grey voids dominating the map.

"This is all I can get for now. But that shouldn’t be a challenge. I’ll just have to send out more drones. But for now, I’ll work with what I have."

His eyes swept over the projection, and a vision bloomed, not of the Corrupted Lands as a scarred wasteland, but as something greater.

"I’m going to transform this place," he declared. Not just into a fortress, but a thriving metropolis.

In the coming months, Adrian could see it becoming the heart of his operations, especially with its unmatched strategic location unmatched.

He imagined more than stone and steel. People, lives, futures...

To realize this dream, he would need workers and skilled hands to shape his vision.

"I want this to be a home for families and for those close to me," he said. "I’ll recruit people and teach them to build, to create, and offer them a life far beyond their wildest dreams."

His ambition swelled. "That will be the foundation of my sovereign land. As we grow in wealth and strength, we’ll expand and claim more more territory."

But such a vision demanded more than ideals.

To make this possible, he would need the essentials.

"Clean water to sustain life, food to nourish, energy and power to drive progress, and infrastructure to tie it all together." His mind churned, mapping out the necessities of a city born from desolation.

"I have no interest in electricity yet," Adrian said at the thought of energy.

"It’s redundant when magic offers such elegance and versatility."

He was planning a grand project to harness magic more efficiently, powering the entire city with its flow.

He shook his head at his past efforts. "My current use of magic crystals is crude and wasteful, like trying to fill a cup with a fire hose. It works, but it’s far from optimal."

A better power source would unlock endless possibilities. He envisioned the Volcanic Wastelands and Frozen Region as industrial hubs, their harsh landscapes tamed into engines of creation.

"That’s where the real work will happen," he said.

Factories, systems, all interconnected to sustain the city. For instance, he planned to free communicators from needing bound pairs or receiver nodes, like the Mark 2 variant.

A seamless magical network would connect everything. But that only came after he refined the transformation.

"I’ll dedicate the barren expanse and mountains as a defensive outpost," he said, pointing to the glowing patch near the entrance.

"A military presence there will guard the sovereignty and shield it any threat."

For the rest, he saw organized settlements rising.

The forest could be transformed into farmlands if he wished. The riverbed could perhaps be restored. Every piece will fit.

Adrian paused, exhaling. "I was rushing ahead," he admitted, dismissing the holograms with a wave.

The map vanished, leaving the white void stark and empty. "I need a complete map of the Corrupted Lands before I draft a detailed blueprint. And I’ll need people... many of them. But that won’t be an issue."
