Daniel had absolutely no intention of cooperating with it.
After all, in its hands were the souls of countless murdered humans.
To Daniel, the logic was simple— the relationship between the Myriad Races and the Fleshheart could only be hostile.
Now that Aurelia’s divine attack was about to descend once more, and Daniel had no desire to waste it— then the best and most obvious target was the Fleshheart standing right before him.
As soon as this thought formed in his mind, a beam of Aurelia’s divine light once again fell from the sky.
But this time,
Daniel redirected his Reflective Shield toward the Fleshheart.
As expected, the pure golden light immediately deflected in that direction.
Before the Fleshheart could even react, the divine light had already struck it!
With godly attacks, speed was a meaningless concept.
The moment Daniel was targeted, the golden beam had already landed on the Fleshheart’s body.
As its massive form began to disintegrate into light, an overwhelming wave of psychic energy surged from its mind— a tsunami of confusion, disbelief... and pure fear.
It couldn’t understand it.
This had nothing to do with me!
So why had a god’s attack landed on me!?
The Fleshheart truly couldn’t comprehend what was happening.
It had been nothing more than a passive observer, silently watching the war unfold between the Myriad Races and the Angels of Gold and Silver.
It had even been hoping to benefit somehow from the chaos.
But to its horror, the bystander had suddenly become the target.
Despite being a Fake God, the Fleshheart possessed immense perceptive powers.
In fact, it had focused the majority of its perception on the Myriad Races’ domain.
Every event—even the death of a single ant—couldn’t escape its notice.
But this golden light?
It had appeared out of nowhere, without any detectable warning.
Now, the Fleshheart wanted nothing more than to die and escape this madness.
It had no idea how things had spiraled so out of control.
Why was it getting beaten up in someone else’s war!?
In the blink of an eye, most of the Fleshheart’s body had been turned to light.
Meanwhile, Daniel activated Flashback at the same time, returning instantly to the Continent of Myriad Races.
He didn’t stop moving for a second— using the abyss to reappear instantly at the outer edge of the Flesh Continent.
By this time, the entire Flesh Continent had already been engulfed in golden radiance.
The Fleshheart, unable even to struggle, was obliterated together with the entire landmass under the divine glow.
An entire continent—gone in seconds, turned into light.
Daniel couldn’t help but acknowledge once again— the divine attacks of gods were utterly terrifying.
The entire process was absurdly fast.
It happened in the blink of an eye, almost immediately after Daniel activated Reflective Shield.
Before anyone could respond, the continent was gone.
Daniel’s mind involuntarily recalled the description of the Primordial Core Weapon.
It had been said to rival the power of a god’s attack.
But now?
That thing was trash.
Look at this! This was what godly power really looked like.
One strike—one beam of light— and an entire continent was erased.
Compared to Aurelia’s power, the Primordial Core Weapon was no more than a glorified firecracker.
Two seconds later, the entire Flesh Continent had been turned to light.
Yet to Daniel’s surprise— the Fleshheart actually survived.
It had lost most of its tentacles and looked on the verge of death, but it was still alive.
It had endured a direct hit from a god.
By the third second after the divine strike, the entire continent had begun to regenerate.
In this world, there were fundamental laws.
One such rule stated: when a continent is damaged, it will slowly restore itself to its original form.
But now, the Fleshheart looked absolutely miserable.
Its body was still being gradually turned into light, but at the same time, it was fighting back with everything it had.
Around its body, thick new tentacles were sprouting, like the roots of a giant plant digging into the soil.
Yet, even those freshly grown limbs could not escape the same fate— they were immediately light-transformed as well.
Thus began a grotesque and horrifying cycle.
On one hand, it was being light-erased.
On the other, it was constantly regenerating.
And the moment something regenerated, it was turned to light again.
A self-consuming loop.
Daniel watched this twisted scene, initially believing that the Fleshheart would soon be exhausted to death.
But suddenly—something changed.
From the Fleshheart’s body, a round, pulsating blood orb was suddenly expelled.
The orb was small—barely the size of a fingernail.
And yet... this tiny blood orb remained completely unaffected by the light transformation.
In the very next instant, the orb was flung far away by the Fleshheart.
It was unmistakable: the orb was the Fleshheart’s true core.
As it landed on the ground, a new Fleshheart began to take shape.
Thick, meaty veins sprouted outward like roots, burrowing into the soil.
The new body rapidly expanded, growing visibly larger with each passing moment.
At the same time, the old Fleshheart finally gave up its struggle— and was completely consumed by the light.
The Fleshheart had escaped death— but only barely, and at a tremendous cost.
Watching this entire sequence unfold,
Daniel’s eyes narrowed in solemnity.
He understood very well— even though the Fleshheart had been gravely wounded, it was still a Fake God-tier entity.
Just as he was preparing to deliver the finishing blow, a strange, unexplainable fear suddenly welled up from deep within him.
It was an instinctive warning—
If you attack now, something terrible will happen.
Daniel had always trusted his instincts.
And this time was no different.
Without hesitation, he abandoned the idea of finishing off the Fleshheart.
Besides, there were more pressing matters to attend to.
With that decision made,
Daniel activated Time Stream, returning to the exact moment when he had blocked Aurelia’s divine strike with Reflective Shield.
But this time, he didn’t bother observing the aftermath of the Flesh Continent.
Just then, a shocked voice echoed beside him. "D... Daniel, what—what did you just do!?"
Milla was completely shaken.
She was now in a state of utter confusion.
Though she was a devotee of a god, when faced with an actual divine attack, even her soul had been involuntarily seized by deep fear. "What in the world... just happened!?"
