The ice block paid no attention to Daryl’s reaction. Instead, it circled around her seriously.
"Tsk tsk, I didn’t expect you to be a demigod with the potential to become a god."
"Looks like Luke has invested quite a bit in your training, hasn’t he?"
Daryl attempted to use her detection skills on the ice block in front of her. However, as expected, her skills failed to activate.
It wasn’t common for detection skills to fail. There were typically two reasons for it: One was that the opponent’s strength was far greater than her own.
But Daryl had already reached the Demigod Rank. If she couldn’t detect it, that could only mean one thing: her opponent was a being at the god level.
Another possibility was that the opponent possessed highly powerful concealment skills.
However, after a brief moment of shock, Daryl’s rationality returned. She knew the ice block didn’t belong to the second category, because if it were well-hidden, she wouldn’t have been able to sense the chaotic aura emanating from it.
So... was this ice block a being of god-level tier?
When this thought crossed Daryl’s mind, she felt as though her brain was about to shut down. She couldn’t fathom why she would encounter such a special god.
But soon, Daryl calmed down, because she realized that she had been thinking along the wrong lines.
At the very least, she was certain now that while the massive ice block emitted a powerful aura, it wasn’t truly at the god level.
What surprised her, though, was that the ice block seemed to have full cognitive abilities. Its thought process didn’t resemble that of a monstrous creature but seemed more like a sentient being.
But no matter what, Daryl now understood one thing: her presence in this time must be related to the ice block in front of her.
"Let me leave here. I don’t want to be your enemy."
However, the massive ice block ignored Daryl’s plea and spoke to itself.
"I can sense that you are radiating an enticing aura. If I consume you, I believe it will be a very important event for me."
"Now, lie down obediently and let me enter you. Don’t resist, understand?"
After saying this, the ice block began to emit a dense white mist that rapidly expanded, enveloping Daryl in an instant.
Of course, Daryl wasn’t one to submit easily.
As soon as she sensed the ice block’s hostile intent, she had already prepared to strike back.
Her body moved with the agility of a snake, easily dodging the white mist, and with a sudden motion, she opened her mouth wide. Two green venomous fangs shot out toward the ice block with incredible force!
Crack!
The surface of the ice block was soon marked with web-like cracks.
However, these cracks, compared to the ice block’s massive size, were negligible.
But Daryl’s attack did provoke the ice block’s fury.
"You insignificant creature, do you think you have the right to resist with your power?"
"Even if the Luck Goddess herself were to stand before me, she would not be able to truly destroy me."
"As for you, a mere weakling..."
The surface of the ice block began to tremble violently. In the blink of an eye, the cracks caused by Daryl’s attack fully healed.
At the same time, the white mist from the ice block quickly enveloped Daryl once more.
Inside the mist was an almost absolute zero temperature, a terrifying coldness!
Before Daryl could even mount a proper resistance, a thick layer of frost began to form on her body.
In that moment, she felt her muscles, her blood, as though they were freezing into solid ice!
However, Daryl was a Demigod after all. Though the white mist did indeed harm her, it couldn’t be considered a fatal injury.
After a brief struggle, Daryl managed to break free from the mist.
However, she now appeared disheveled, her body covered in numerous wounds.
In fact, at this point, Daryl had almost lost the ability to fight back. After being infiltrated by the mist, she realized the ice block’s trickery.
She had initially thought that the greatest threat from the mist was its freezing effect. The massive ice block’s first impression had been its overwhelming cold and frostbite.
So Daryl had focused her divine power defenses on resisting the cold.
But after coming into contact with the mist, she realized her mistake. She had been horribly wrong!
The true danger of the mist wasn’t the freezing effect—it was the sealing power!
Beneath the surface of the frost, the white mist’s real harm came from its sealing effect!
By the time Daryl realized this, it was already too late. The ice block’s power was far superior to hers.
Coupled with her strategic misjudgment and the ice block’s preemptive advantage,
Daryl now found that nearly all of her powers had been sealed!
In this moment, other than her Demigod-level physical body, she was essentially as vulnerable as an ordinary human.
"What... what do you intend to do?"
"Even if you consume me, don’t you fear the Luck Goddess’s pursuit?"
The giant ice block didn’t respond to Daryl’s question. It simply stood in front of her, motionless.
After a period of silence, a long crack began to appear on the surface of the ice block.
The once rigid ice block now seemed to have some elasticity, allowing the crack to move like a living creature’s mouth.
"Daryl, don’t think that when I said ’consume,’ I meant eating you whole."
"As a great existence, I would never be so bloodthirsty and brutal. As for how I will consume you, I’ll choose the most elegant method. Of course, not now—I need to make some preparations first."
"But before that, please wait here for a while."
After saying this, the massive ice block began to melt into transparent liquid, slowly disappearing from Daryl’s sight.
Daryl, having been sealed, could only stand there, watching helplessly as the ice block vanished.
She understood clearly now—she had been completely sealed in this era!
