Keith reached the kitchen and found a group of cooks mixing milk. Matilda Castillo was looking at their job as if she wanted to see everything perfect. Even the cooks felt awkward because they were not used to this kind of situation.
It seemed that this was the first time Matilda joined the kitchen.
"Oh, so you came out of your room after half a day, at last."
Keith scratched his chin, a bit embarrassed. His grandmother probably knew about what Keith and Penelope did in the guest room.

Sophia was a bit confused but she decided to wait for her Mom. Sophia had fun playing with her great-grandparents but she still missed her Mom. One day of not seeing each other was enough for Sophia to miss her Mommy.
So she decided to return to the guest room to see her Mommy.
When Penelope opened the door, Sophia immediately latched on her leg and greeted her with a warm hug.
"Aww, Mommy miss you too."
Penelope then carried her baby girl and kissed her a lot, Sophia giggled and cuddled with her Mommy.
[Unlike HWI, this novel has slow progression but I think it caught the fluffiness of a family.]
