Narrowing both her eyes as she thought about this, Scaly didn’t waste any time as she decided to follow the bloody trail in search of the gnolls who had been bold enough to steal her prey.
Given how far away she was from the small gnoll tribe she had already terrorized, the gnolls behind the theft of the rabbits should belong to another tribe... And although she understood that this tribe might be far stronger than the one, she had encountered, she also understood that it was a chance for her to grow stronger.

At the same time that Scaly was busy chomping down on the third forest rabbit while rationalizing her excessive consumption as needed to be fully prepared for hunting down gnolls, the big forest rabbit that had followed behind the group of gnolls carrying away the dead bodies of the rabbits that had fallen to Scaly, arrived in front of a large tribe far larger than the gnoll tribe Scaly had encountered.
Not only were there hundreds of gnolls present in this tribe, but the tribe itself was also surrounded by a wooden wall made of tree logs that had been driven into the ground close together.
Although this was by no way an impressive wall and wouldn’t be able to stop most monsters present in the forest, it was still an impressive feat of engineering for a group of gnolls that by most accounts were considered to be nothing more than mindless monsters without a gnoll shaman around.

Seeing the impressive wall and the large number of gnolls entering and leaving the tribe, the big forest rabbit also let out a fearful squeaking sound as it wasted no time in turning around and escaping in the direction it had come from.
Different from Scaly who didn’t know a lot about gnolls, the big forest rabbit, having lived inside the forest for a long time, understood full well what a gnoll tribe of that size meant.
Not just did the gnoll tribe have an impressive shaman far smarter and stronger than the one Scaly had encountered, but a gnoll tribe of that size almost certainly had a powerful gnoll chieftain at the lead.
