Chapter 15: Traitor!
"Why Leon?! I can't understand why you're with them?!" asked Hiroshi. He was looking at Leon with a mix of anger and confusion.
"Why, you said. It's pretty normal..." said Leon. He started walking toward Hiroshi then leaned in and whispered in his ear, "To seek... power."
Hiroshi clenched his fists. "Power? That's it? After everything we've been through, you throw it all away for that?" His voice cracked, not just from rage but from heartbreak. The Leon he knew wouldn't have said that.
"Everything we have been through?" Leon started laughing loudly, all the other squads who were fighting, stopped and looks at him. Some were terrified, some thought that he lost his mind and some were curious. "Don't be so dramatic, we only spend one month together." He said coldly. All the squads continued their battles.
"Sometimes... to protect something important, you have to become the villain in someone else's story." His voice was calm and cold. "As now you both are captured, you are going to expelled from EHHS."
"Don't be so fool, you are also going to be expelled with us. You are also member of this squad" said Kami, her expression were calm.
"Let me tell you something, I am the member of squad 35. Not yours...I was in your squad before but now my squad is changed into 35... because they changed it with their power and connections." pointed at Ren who was tied along with squad 4, "Ren is your teammate, in exchange of me. So, the one going to get expelled with you is not me—but Ren."
"What the hell you are saying?! I can't understand anything. How can members change between Trails?!" Asked Hiroshi, he was not getting even a single thing that Leon explained.
"You don't even need to understand, just sleep peacefully" Leon Said. Then strikes Hiroshi on the neck, rendering him unconscious. "Why the hell you did that?!" Yelled Kami, looking angry at Leon. He smirks and punched her in stomach, before she was going unconscious, he said "because it's fun..." She goes unconscious.
"You really are pretty ruthless, even with your own teammates". Said a bandaged guy,
"They are just good for nothing" said Leon coldly. Bell rings all around the battle ground, "Everyone Stop! Time is over" announced in the speakers.
"It's over"
"Hah, this fight was tiring. Now I will go eat and then sleep."
"Yeah it was really tiring."
All the winning squads were talking with each, between them 3 squads were calm and cold. Leon was in one of them, they started walking toward the gates.
Leon walked quietly with his new squad. His eyes not even blinking as if nothing happened. One of the members beside him said, "You really didn't hold back huh?"
Leon replied with a small grin "They were annoying."
Another member chuckled, "Still, that girl was kinda strong. What's her name? Kami?"
Leon stayed silent for a second, then said, "She was decent. But decent isn't enough."
Behind them, squad 4 was being dragged by the guards, some still conscious, some not. Ren who was tied up beside Hiroshi and Kami, shouted, "Leon! You traitor! You set us up!"
Leon didn't even turn back, just raised his hand slightly and waved without looking. "You should've trained harder," he said.
As the gates opened, the sunset painted the sky orange. Squad 35 stepped out calmly while the others were rushed to the medical center. The students in the crowd whispered, some even pointing at Leon.
"I saw that guy beating up a squad very ruthlessly."
"Yeah, he even punched a girl very hard in stomach."
"What a brat, don't even know how to respect girls."
Leon was walking straight without looking around, his expression were unreadable but giving a hint that.... something big is going to happen.
