Chapter 6: Outcast
Room started shaking—then suddenly a Collosal Spirit entered the room. All of them including those Ghouls were bewildered by the Spirit's Size. Raze who was lying on the ground after getting his balls kicked, noticed a guy running towards them. "See there is someone! I think the spirit is chasing him!". Everyone noticed the guy wearing glasses—has decent Appearance—running toward them.
"We have to Defeat this Spirit" Hiroshi holds his sword, his legs were shaking. "Why the hell you are shaking?!" Raze pointed out hiroshi's legs. "I couldn't help it!" Hiroshi with his scared expression. Leon sigh "Let's take care of this spirit we have here" holds his sword with a smirks of excitement, Kami who was in the corner—is now beside them. "You ghouls, are you fighting with us or watching from here?" Asked Kami.
"We are fighting beside you" Said Selene.
"Yeah" Raze stands up but the pain wasn't gone.
"But how will you defeat this spirit? Can your sword touch it?" Asked Selene as she was puzzled.
"Yeah, our sword can touch it. Before coming here, divine stones was implanted in all the swords so that they will be able to touch ghosts and spirits." Kami explains.
"Oh...means you all are here, fully prepared" said Selene, who was looking impressed.
"Focus!" Leon shouted as the spirit came dangerously close. Without wasting a second, he charged forward and slashed at it with his sword.
The spirit, a massive creature with a round body, two large green eyes, and small hands that could stretch as far as it wanted, groaned in pain. Despite its colossal size, it retaliated quickly, swinging its elongated arms at Leon.
Just before it could hit him, Selene landed a powerful kick to its balloon-like stomach, making the spirit scream in agony. Meanwhile, Hiroshi and Kami rushed to rescue the guy who was being chased.
Kami then attempted to slice the spirit's stomach in half, but her blade couldn't cut through. Leon, now mid-air, unleashed a flurry of rapid slashes, forcing the spirit to shift its attention to him. The two clashed fiercely, exchanging attacks that sent shockwaves throughout the room.
Selene quickly came up with a plan. She dashed toward the spirit while it was focused on Leon. Without hesitation, she tore into its eye using her ghoul's claws. The spirit shrieked in unbearable pain.
Taking advantage of the opening, Leon delivered a brutal kick to its face and tried to retreat, but before he could get away, the spirit grabbed his leg. With monstrous strength, it swung him around like a ragdoll, slamming him into the ground repeatedly. Blood spilled from Leon's mouth with each impact.
Suddenly, the spirit's arm, the one holding Leon, was severed By Hiroshi who was about to piss his pants a moment ago.
As Leon collapsed to the ground, Hiroshi caught him and propped him against the wall. "Are you okay?" he asked urgently.
Leon coughed but managed to smile. "Yeah, I'm fine."
Without wasting another second, Hiroshi chanted a spell,
"O sacred light, bearer of judgment,
Erase the wicked, cleanse the unholy.
By the will of divinity, let impurity fade—
Let the heavens descend and smite all evil!"
A golden magic circle forms beneath the Spirit, expanding upward into a radiant pillar. The spirit gets engulfed in divine energy, spirit's form disintegrated into pure light. Hiroshi felt dizzy and about to collapse in ground but leon catched him, "don't collapse here, we got a long way to go" smiles.
"Yeah" answer Hiroshi.
Then the Guy who was getting chased by spirit introduced himself,
"I'm Ren from squad 4".
"Where is your squad then?" Asked Kami.
"They are on the path to escape the labyrinth, I'm here because I got kicked out" Answered Ren.
"Why you got kicked?" Asked Hiroshi.
"They said I'm coming in their way, so they throw me in a room where I meet this spirit and while trying to escape from it—I meet you." Answered Ren.
"That's so stupid, haven't they heard the rule that we have to clear labyrinth in squad?" Kami muttered in anger.
"They are planning to say that I died in battle with a spirit" Said Ren while looking down.
All of them gets Dumbfounded,
"That's bullshit, how can someone be this much of a shit?" Said Kami with visible anger.
"Weak getting outcast, that's not something new to me" said leon with a smile, not of joy.
"Join us," Leon says, offering an inviting hand. Both kami and Hiroshi looked at Leon in surprise, kami pulls him in a corner and asked "What are you even saying?!".
"Inviting him" said leon.
"I know that, you idiot"..sigh.."Is this your last decision?"
"Yeah!" Said Leon with a smile.
"I trust your decision" then Kami goes to Ren.
"You can come with us".
"Really?!"
"Yeah"
"I really appreciate your kindness!" bows down.
"Hey, Don't left us alone. We are also coming with you, we got strength!" Said Selene.
"Okay no problem" said leon as all of them started to leave that room to find the escape of labyrinth.
