Zi Yi followed Lu Jingye to Song Jewelry.
Mrs. Lu was also at the studio today and Zi Yi directly went looking for her.
As they were planning to release new designs soon on a global scale, everyone in the studio was very busy during this period of time. When Zi Yi made her way inside, everyone either had their heads buried in their work, were walking around at a fast pace to grab things, or were in small groups of people gathered around to have a discussion. Not a single one of them noticed her.
She did not find that to be a problem, as she was headed toward where Mrs. Lu was at.
“Here, here, and here won’t make the cut. We have to go with the elegant style for Europe’s side. This type of design is still too simple. Go and change it right away.”
“But it’s too late.”
“Even if it’s too late, it still must be changed.”
Mrs. Lu was obviously very busy. Zi Yi stood there and looked at her for some time before calling out to her, “Mom.”
Mrs. Lu, who was originally grimacing a second ago, suddenly revealed a smile at the sight of Zi Yi. “Yiyi, when did you arrive?”
She then turned around and called for her assistant, “Little Luo, go and get some food.”
Zi Yi hastily called out to Little Luo to stop him and then said to Mrs. Lu, “Mom, no need. I ate before I came.”
Following that, Zi Yi then asked, “Mom, have you eaten yet?”
Evidently, Mrs. Lu had yet to eat.
Zi Yi grabbed her hand and said, “Mom, go and have your meal first. If anything happens, I’ll help you keep watch.”
Before Mrs. Lu could say anything, a man who appeared a little ostentatious came out with orchid fingers.1 “Even though you are Mrs. Lu’s daughter-in-law, our studio is involved in international brands’ jewelry pieces. It’s not something an outsider would understand easily. Little Madam, do you understand jewelry design?”
After hearing such words of doubt, Zi Yi had yet to say anything when Mrs. Lu said in displeasure, “Adonis, don’t look down on just anyone. Perhaps Zi Yi’s sense of fashion is even better than yours.”
When Zi Yi heard how Mrs. Lu shielded her, the corner of her lips curved up.
This type of feeling where one’s parents think of their child as the best was too great.
When Adonis heard that, his orchid hand gestures became even more obvious, and he was about to speak when Zi Yi spoke up before he could.
“You don’t resemble a handsome man at all, why did you choose to take on the name of a handsome guy?”
“You…” Adonis choked up and his face turned red. A few seconds later, he angrily stomped his foot and pointed at Zi Yi. “How dare you launch a personal attack!”
Zi Yi snorted and raised her chin. “Humans reciprocate whatever attitude is given to them. If you respect me, I would certainly respect you. Now that you are rude to me, are you forbidding me from retaliating?”

Adonis’ cheeks were red in anger. Even after taking several deep breaths, he still pointed at her in anger while his fingers were shaking. “Wasn’t I just speaking the truth? Do you even know about jewelry design? Well, you don’t!”
“I don’t know, but I know how to draw and I know how to appreciate something nice.”
Zi Yi’s lips curved up and she asked, “What about you? Do you think there’s any aspect of you that resembles a handsome guy?”
Adonis was wearing a shirt with black and white stripes where the sides were asymmetric. It was a shirt that was full of personality. In fact, Adonis was not bad looking. His facial features were on the softer side, it was just that his puppy eyes had ruined the overall feel and made it hard to associate him with a handsome man.
Adonis could not find anything to use to retaliate against Zi Yi. He stomped his foot and angrily pointed at the drawing next to them as he said in a sharp voice, “Then tell me where and how this design needs to be changed?”
Zi Yi looked at the design and sometime later, she picked up a pencil from the side and quickly revised it.
When Zi Yi had just started revising the drawing, the others who were sneaking peeks in their direction came over.
Even though Mrs. Lu was present, everyone could not help but whisper to one another in soft voices.
“Does Zi Yi really understand jewelry design?”
“She’s a member of the Painting and Calligraphy Association and so modifying a design draft should be a small case for her.”
“But is there not still a difference between jewelry design and calligraphy?”
As Mrs. Lu’s daughter-in-law, the amount of jewelry she possesses should not be lacking. She’d definitely pick up some things after looking at them often.
“What you said sounds reasonable… So why is Adonis acting up again? To think that he dared to confront the boss’ daughter-in-law.”
“Everyone understands Adonis well. When he gets angry, he will attack whoever is in front of him.”
“In my opinion, I think he’s going to kick on an iron plate this time. Zi Yi is obviously not someone who is easy to mess with and not to mention, what she said earlier was a little too much. Zi Yi finished drawing the last stroke while everyone around her was whispering in a low voice. She then put down the pencil on the table and said, “I’m done.”
Having said that, she left the drawing there and took a step back.

The atmosphere suddenly quietened down. There were emotions of surprise, shock, and disbelief in everyone’s eyes.
“Heavens, I feel that after Zi Yi revised this draft, the design instantly feels even more expensive and elegant.”
“Only high officials and rich people are qualified to wear this piece.”
“This type of design is what it means by high-end. She is indeed worthy of being a member of the Painting and Calligraphy Association.”
While everyone was praising Zi Yi, she turned to look at Adonis. She raised her chin and said bluntly, “It seems like my aesthetics have been approved of by many people. Therefore, you’re not a handsome guy at all. I’d advise you to change your name.”
“You-” Adonis felt as though there was a lump stuck in his throat. He was so angry that even his voice was shaking. “Y-y-you… you’re still attacking me personally!”
He then stomped his feet as he turned around and left in anger.
Zi Yi turned to look at Mrs. Lu who was looking at her with a smile and Zi Yi gave her a wink mischievously.
Mrs. Lu said to the other staff members, “Everyone should return to their work.”
Having said that, when everyone was making their way back to their seats, Mrs. Lu raised her hand and stroked Zi Yi’s head. Her eyes curved into crescent moons as she praised her, “Yiyi, nice one!”
Following that, she came closer to her and whispered, “I’ve long wanted to change Adonis’ bad temper. I was just having a headache of being unable to find a way. Your move was really good.”
Zi Yi’s eyes also curved into crescent moons as she held Mrs. Lu’s arms. “This way, you can leave here for a while to have your meal, right?”
“Yes, I just so happen to feel a little hungry now too.”
The both of them headed out together while they were in a merry mood.
After they took their leave, Adonis, who returned to his office, previously walked out. He crossed his arms and looked at the door.
Just then, his assistant came over and called out to him, “Adonis.”
Adonis glared at him and said, “Don’t call me Adonis in the future. Call me Director Meng!”
Having said that, he turned around and returned to the office.
His assistant thought of what Zi Yi said earlier and nearly burst into laughter. He hastily turned around and informed everyone of this.
There was a personal lounge for Mrs. Lu on the third floor. While Mrs. Lu was having her meal, she asked, “Yiyi, have you found the other clones?”
Zi Yi nodded her head. “We found them. Jingye’s men are currently watching over them.”
Ever since the other clone appeared last night, both of them had gathered the net they cast, it was just that they had yet to capture them.
“Why don’t you capture them?” Mrs. Lu could not understand.
“My research lab would be able to create a small robot that is identical to Luo Ran. After the robot is created, I will replace it with the clone next to Aunt Luo.
“Tonight I’ll research the clone first. They have something to do with Country A’s secret laboratory and so when we encounter something similar to what happened to Yunxiao, we would be able to solve the problem.”
