Qianxun ran to the school gate and quickly flagged down a taxi.
"Sir, please go to the City Affiliated Hospital, my classmate has been poisoned— it’s an emergency!" Qianxun placed Yuen Song in the back seat and climbed in after him.
Upon hearing Qianxun’s words, the taxi driver got excited, "Alright, make sure he’s settled. It’s time to show off my driving skills."
With that, he floored the accelerator and began speeding immediately.
Fortunately, he was an experienced driver, and despite constantly weaving through traffic, the car moved incredibly fast.
The City Affiliated Hospital was over twenty kilometers from Nanyang High School, normally a twenty-minute drive, but the driver sped the whole way and, thanks to the clear roads, they reached the hospital in less than ten minutes.
By then, Yuen Song was nearly unconscious.
Seeing this, the taxi driver quickly asked if Qianxun needed help.
While disembarking and lifting Yuen Song, Qianxun said, "Thank you, sir, I’m Su Qianxun. You can pick up the fare from me at class F of Nanyang High School when you pass by next time—I need to go."
After saying that, she carried Yuen Song into the hospital, "Doctor! My classmate has been poisoned, please pump his stomach immediately!"
The passing nurse was startled by Qianxun’s words.
But quickly, the nurse brought over a gurney, and Qianxun placed Yuen Song on it.
"Young girl, we’ll take him straight to the emergency room; wait outside," the nurse said, wheeling Yuen Song away.
Qianxun nodded, her heart lightening a little.

Almost half an hour later, having received the news, Sun Ze, Wang Yue, and Wu Mei hurried over.
In Wu Mei’s hands, she carried the poisoned glass of Orange Juice.
"Su Qianxun! How is Yuen Song? How is he doing?" Sun Ze asked as he approached urgently.
Hearing this, Qianxun glanced at the group and said, "Yuen Song is in the emergency room."

Yuen Song was the only son of a prominent local businessman; it would be a big problem if something happened to him.

Among them were the two officers who had previously gone to the school to question Sun Xiaowen about another case.
Both remembered Qianxun vividly, and after greeting Sun Ze, they turned to Qianxun, "Did you call the police?"
Qianxun nodded and handed them the glass of juice, "This drink was given to me by a female student through Wang Yue to pass to me, but as I was on my period, I couldn’t have cold drinks so I gave it to Yuen Song instead. It was meant for me. Could Officer Wang and Officer Zhou please test this drink as soon as possible to find out what poison my classmate ingested?"
Hearing Qianxun’s explanation, the officers nodded and took the drink.
Then, Officer Zhou turned to Wang Yue, "Who gave you this drink?"
Nervous, Wang Yue blurted out, "Just an ordinary-looking girl with a ponytail... I, I can’t remember much else."
It was her first time facing the police, and although Wang Yue initially remembered a bit of the girl’s appearance, questioning from the police muddled her thoughts.
