"Wait wait, this isn't right." Hundred Ghost panickedly shouted as he crawled backward, with one of his hands raised up.
"Lunar Wraith already forgave me, so what's with the aggression?" He shouted, gazing at Jeff, who seemed ready to swing his mighty battle axe at him.
Meanwhile, Xu Feng adjusted his glasses and calmly said, "Yes, Lunar Wraith said she doesn't wish to see you ever again. So I naturally have to comply with that."
"Bullshit!" Hundred Ghost roared. "She naturally meant that I should never appear in front of her again with that statement."
This was a common statement that most used when they refused to see a person anymore. Yet Xu Feng misinterpreted it as killing him.
At the same time, Hundred Ghost turned his attention to Carmen, seemingly hoping she would clarify her meaning for the slow-witted Xu Feng.
He had already suppressed his rage and endured the humiliation to apologize not once, but twice in a row.
That was already being overwhelmingly generous for someone of his stature.
"Um, Feng," Carmen wanted to clarify her meaning as well, but Xu Feng cut her off.
"I don't know what kind of school you went to, but it was definitely not some bright school." Xu Feng sneered and commanded Jeff. "Kill him already."
"Understood," Jeff responded and swung his battle axe.
That was Hundred Ghost's words before he was slain yet again, losing quite a bit of experience points.
However, the very next moment, Xu Feng used Divine Resurrection, reviving the dumbfounded Hundred Ghost.
"You can't be serious, right?" Hundred Ghost muttered, finally realizing what Xu Feng was planning to do.
Earlier he had commanded others to kill Xu Feng back to level 0. Even a fool could determine what Xu Feng was trying to do when he repeatedly resurrected him from being unable to respawn.
"Are you seriously trying to make an enemy out of the Reaver Guild? Did you think by killing me back to level 0 you will be able to escape scot-free?"
"Hmm, you're not wrong about that." Xu Feng nodded, but he continued, "But did you think you haven't made an enemy of me yet after your actions? I'll wait for your revenge."
And with that said, Hundred Ghost saw his life flash by, plopping to the ground as his health points dropped to zero.
This scene repeated for a while, all the way until his level dropped back to zero, and was stripped of his equipment.
"Y-You've actually done it." Carmen was stunned, clearly not expecting Xu Feng to really follow through.
"Of course, I'm not the type to joke around." Xu Feng smiled lightly. "Although you haven't accepted to join my guild, I already designated you as one. Hence, those who bullied my member shall receive my wrath."
Carmen was rendered speechless, baffled by his statement.
Meanwhile, Xu Feng began harvesting all the pieces of equipment dropped into his inventory.
The truth was, he needed to go against these people later on, so what was there to hold back? He might as well have hindered the crap out of them than waiting for them to get stronger.
Not to mention, it was their fault to deliver themselves to him when he hadn't sought them out yet.
'What a pity that Eagle Snipe and the rest have already respawned.' Xu Feng sighed softly.
He had to use revive solely on Hundred Ghost because his method would cause his respawn time to decrease, meaning he needed to act fast, lest the latter could respawn and escape safely.
As for the option of logging out, he was in a combat state, the penalty would be tremendous. Additionally, the latter was simply too astonished by the fact that Xu Feng could revive him way quicker than any Cleric.
"Anyway, we should leave now." Xu Feng casually said.
During their return, Carmen constantly tried to warn Xu Feng to be careful from now on.
"Now that you caused Hundred Ghost such a setback, he will target you indefinitely."
"So what?" Xu Feng snorted. "Doesn't that mean he will stop harassing you and come after me now? That's even better."
"Ugh, do you really want to recruit me that badly?"
"Naturally, someone with such potential… it'll be a waste if I let you escape."
Although Xu Feng made such a statement that sounded no different than a creep, Carmen was appreciative of him. His behavior and actions contrasted sharply with those who initially said they would safeguard her in their team, only to end up eating their own words.
He might not have specifically said it, but his actions proved he was a decisive person.
"Fine, I'll join your future guild whenever you create it." Carmen finally relented.
Satisfied, Xu Feng nodded and inwardly thanked Hundred Ghost for the assist. If he knew that his efforts not only benefited him, but even his precious equipment went to him, Xu Feng wondered what kind of rage he would reveal.
Meanwhile, in the real world, in a somewhat luxurious office, a gaming capsule opened up, and a rageful man got out of the capsule.
"LIN FENG! That motherfucking piece of shit!" The man was none other than Hundred Ghost, whose veins felt like they could pop out at any moment.
When he was resurrected for the Nth time, he used an identification skill and detected that the despicable bastard's username was Lin Feng, he wanted nothing more than to rip him to shreds.
He thrashed his office around, alarming the person who had just entered the room.
"What's with you, Gui Sha?" The person asked teasingly.
"What's with me?" Hundred Ghost, otherwise known as Gui Sha in the real world, was infuriated by the person.
"How dare you ask such a question, Eagle Snipe!" He yelled, feeling even more frustrated at the sight of Eagle Snipe.
Of all the people that went to ambush Lin Feng, only he received the treatment of dying back to level 0 whereas Eagle Snipe respawned safety shortly after.
How could he not be infuriated at the gloating Eagle Snipe?
Naturally, Eagle Snipe could somewhat predict what occurred when he noticed Hundred Ghost level went from 8 to 0 all of a sudden, especially when he didn't respawn.
