When Howard used his Tier 4 strength to leave the room, Xu Feng was stunned on the spot.
It was so obvious that Howard was exhilarated to having passed the task to him that he dashed away, preventing him from going back on his words.
'As expected of all old men. So shrewd and lazy.' Xu Feng thought.
These old men only wanted to enjoy their life once they reached a high position after much difficulty. He can't even get mad at them because that was what he wanted as well in the past.

Shaking his head, Xu Feng decided not to think of that past as he turned to Jessica. "Do you have a map of Star Falls City and its location for sale?"
"Ah, yes, give me a moment." Astonished, Jessica never expected her manager to outright leave her alone with him. Still, she quickly went to find the land deed for Xu Feng to see.
Normally, such a duty landed on the City Magistrate's administrator, but because of the current grim outlook of the city, the City Magistrate had practically dumped all the work to Howard.
And now, Howard had passed the task to Xu Feng, prompting her to have another superior.
After all, Howard's last word emphasized her role in assisting Xu Feng, clearly afraid the latter might run away. If necessary, she was required to seduce Xu Feng to ensure he would stay.

Truth be told, the city was really desolate, but one really can't underestimate the size of the city.

If it hadn't been for the Adventure Association to be quite close to the teleportation platform, it wouldn't be an exaggeration for him to take another half an hour to travel.

'Since the prices are fixed at 500 gold coins for the central area and 300 gold coins for the inner area… calculating the half price, the total would be 1,950 gold coins.' Xu Feng nearly choked when he finished his calculation.

She quickly glanced at the lands chosen by him and calculated.
"Are you sure, Baron Lin Feng?" She swallowed a mouthful nervously. The total cost came to 1,950 gold coins after calculating the discount. Even so, this was not a wealth that any Baron should have.
"Yes, but since I'm doing your manager a huge favor, I expect some more discounts for my bulk purchases." Xu Feng said adamantly, clearly refusing any denial when wanting even more discount.
Meanwhile, Jessica's mouth twitched uncontrollably, clearly speechless at Xu Feng's ruthlessness. He was already granted such a generous discount, but that still wasn't enough for his big appetite.
"I-I can't make that decision," Jessica responded, shaking her head. As if she was going to agree to the request with her pitiful authority.
"Then contact Manager Howard." Xu Feng shrugged.
"Also, do remind him that if it's not possible, then I might feel disheartened. Once disheartened, my progress will be hindered, and I might lose all motivation in the process as well."
These were the only two words that came out of Jessica's mind. Ruthless as in being outright blackmailing them to comply with his request and shameless for speaking such things with a straight face.
While Jessica's opinion of him decreased tremendously, Xu Feng feigned ignorance.
They wanted to use him to lessen their burden, so why should he be polite with them as well?
'Do I look like some fat sheep that could be scammed easily?' Xu Feng inwardly sneered, patiently watching Jessica exiting the room to contact her manager regarding his request.
