As Carmen stepped upon Stage 4, everyone else started whistling in amazement at her beauty.
It was rare for a beauty to step into the Arena, given most considered this place as vulgar and filled with unnecessary violence.
Meanwhile, her opponent, Death Bringer, had a sinister expression on his face.
"Little missy, the Arena protects the fighter so death won't occur. But even then, injuries tend to happen, especially if clothes get shredded in the process." He taunted teasingly, his tongue licking his lips.
"Wow, you really know how to taunt." Carmen remained unfazed and smirked.
"I nearly fell asleep from that ridiculous third-rate villain class dialogue. Shred clothes? Can you even do it with your pathetic ability?" She added, glancing at him up and down before shaking her head, almost as if she was dismissing his capability.
Infuriated by her poisonous tongue, Death Bringer's expression darkened.
"You are courting death, Little Missy." Death Bringer pointed at Carmen and exclaimed.
"This is an arena, so if I'm not trying to fight. What am I here for? Your monkey show and boring dialogue?" Carmen rolled her eyes, having been influenced by Xu Feng's demeanor.
Meanwhile, the main culprit of her terrible influence was currently facepalming, hoping others could not see him.
'It's already happening.' He cried inwardly, witnessing a glimpse of the demoness. One famous trait of her aside from the powerful skills was her venomous tongue that could cause players to log out and weep in bed for days.
Who said Carmen was a gentle and graceful beauty?
Beneath that was underlying a tongue so venomous that even the most toxic poison had to cower in one place.
Xu Feng didn't expect Carmen to improve so tremendously in the short duration they had not interacted.
Nevertheless, he could now feel relieved that his 10 gold coins are safe and sound. In fact, it was almost a guarantee that he would win big.
While Xu Feng was having such a thought, back at the stage, Death Bringer's murderous aura reached its peak.
Although it was impossible for him to truly kill Carmen, he had already begun to think of the humiliation he shall unleash at this filthy mouth of Carmen.
"I can't wait to strip you naked with my daggers," Death Bringer sneered coldly. As an Assassin, it was relatively easy for him to kill a Summoner.
"And I can't wait to see you in a coffin." Not a bit afraid, Carmen retaliated fiercely in verbal war. "It's a good thing there's no true death in the Arena, otherwise, you would miss a lot of amazing scenery."
As the referee started to countdown the fight once the betting was finalized, both Carmen and Death Bringer assumed a fighting stance.
By the time the count reached zero, Death Bringer swiftly concealed himself within the shadow, camouflaging himself with the environment.
"There's that nasty skill of Death Bringer!"
"Yeah, even though it's a balanced fight, with those broken skills. How can others defeat him?"
"This little lass is in big trouble and probably regretting her venomous tongue now!"
The spectators began snickering and laughing among themselves upon seeing such a sight. They might not like Death Bringer's attitude, but his battle record was great.
And this was why the spectators loved him. By betting on him, their chance of winning was significantly higher than anyone else.
Contrary to the spectator's belief, Xu Feng was rather posed and trusted Carmen's ability.
'Do they take the person I believed in to be someone easy to defeat?' Xu Feng smiled lightly, wondering what kind of surprises Carmen would offer.
Others might now know, but in a balanced fight, all combatant's abilities are set in a specific threshold. Carmen was only level 15, but during the registration process, she suggested the threshold to be set at level 30.
Level 30 was the first official requirement for a player to advance to Tier 1.
Therefore, Xu Feng was somewhat curious as to what skills Carmen chose to unlock due to this loophole.

"A camouflage skill eh." Carmen mused. "Are you trying the classical backstab or emerging when I get distracted?"
Her question went to deaf ears though, with literally no response or ripple of effect whatsoever.
Nodding, Carmen realized Death Bringer wasn't completely stupid to react to her question.
However, he would be mistaken if he thought that was all she could be up to.
Closing her eyes, her actions astonished the spectators, and the currently camouflage Death Bringer.
'Is she accepting her defeat?' Death Bringer was startled and continued to proceed with caution.
His trash talk was meant to disrupt his opponents and meant to have them make mistakes, but never once did he underestimate them.
After all, he always betted himself for victory, so acting without a plan and losing was going to be costly.
"This little lass is hilarious!"
"After all that trash talk, she closed her eyes in a battle?"
"What a joke. How could the Arena allow someone like her to be registered?"
While the spectators were filled with disbelief by Carmen's action, Xu Feng himself had narrowed his eyes.
'My goodness… She already has that skill?' Xu Feng twitched his brows upon realization of her action.
Those who believed she was closing her eyes couldn't be any more wrong.
Just at this moment, a slight grin appeared on Carmen's face as she turned toward a particular direction. There was nothing on sight, but Death Bringer felt a sense of pressure.
'Impossible! There's no way she could detect me!' Death Bringer, who was currently being eyed at, was astonished by the scene. He was considered invisible to the naked eye, so it was practically impossible for others to detect him unless he leaked some aura.
"There you are," Carmen grinned menacingly, waved her staff and a surge of powerful mana burst forth.
Shortly after, the stage atmosphere underwent a significant change, and Death Bringer suddenly deactivated his stealth.
