With the sabotage effectively resolved by Xu Feng, he could finally relax his vigilance just a little bit.

'I suppose it's time for some fast clearance and getting that item.' Xu Feng thought to himself, no longer planning on taking things slowly.
"Feng, so we're just going to let this bastard go?" Zhao Kai suddenly stepped forward and asked in a confused tone. His expression and gaze were still extremely unfriendly toward DeathLingers.
Without a doubt, if Xu Feng was no longer present here, then Zhao Kai might have attacked DeathLingers already.
"Well, they promised to compensate for the damages, and are going to be our future customers." Xu Feng replied softly.
"You can't be serious, right?" Zhao Kai twitched his mouth and frowned a bit.
He then proceeded to drag him to the side and whispered, "That bastard nearly caused you to lose your emotion again. How could you let him go that easily?"
Clearly, Zhao Kai's main concern still stemmed from the fact that he had witnessed Xu Feng's temporary loss of emotional control. No one else knew better than him just how scary and grim the situation would be if he had not intervened fast.
"Relax yourself, Kai." Xu Feng gently patted Zhao Kai's shoulder.
"My enemy was never DeathLingers, and yes, he said something that provoked me briefly. But it simply came as a surprise and I knew how to regulate my emotions." He continued, reassuring Zhao Kai that it was not a big deal.
Ever since he had returned to his current self, his control of emotion was extremely high. And with many maneuvers against multiple people, there had yet to be one ridiculous fool that came to him and threatened like what DeathLingers had.
Hence, he failed to regulate his emotions in time, but things changed. Once he figured out the mistake, it would be easy to resolve it from now on.
After all, most humans only learn through failures and experiences.
Sometime later, Zhao Kai could only softly sigh and pursed his lips.
"Fine, I'll let it go for now. But if there's a next time, then don't think I will let the culprit go easily." He warned solemnly.
With his illegitimate identity, Zhao Kai rarely had anyone that he could truly call his buddy.

"Thanks for the concern," He then whispered before returning to the group and having them gathered up.
Gazing at his back from behind, Zhao Kai could only shake his head and smile bitterly.
'What thanks could there be?' He thought to himself, finding it ridiculous for Xu Feng to say thank you when it was between them. Had it not been for him, then Zhao Kai wouldn't even know what would happen during his grandfather's birthday party.
'Eldest sis warned me that people have been plotting my death, so I must attend grandfather's birthday to resolve the issue.' Zhao Kai clenched his fist tightly when he recalled Zhao Xin's warning.
Without Xu Feng's intervention and assistance in helping him get his grandfather's approval, those people plotting would have proceeded with the plan and he might have disappeared in this world.
Amidst his deep thoughts, Zhao Kai suddenly felt a tug on his sleeve.
"Um, Shadow Blade, the Raid Leader said we need to start clearing for the other monsters to get to the oppressive pillar. He ordered me to ask if you are ready to start moving." SilentWhisper explained the situation to him.
"Oh…" Zhao Kai scratched his head in response. "Yeah, I'm ready."
Shortly after everyone regrouped, and without needing any clarification, they all pretended the scene of DeathLingers being killed didn't happen at all.
"Okay, from here on out, we will not stop." Xu Feng clasped his hands and informed the group.
"DeathLingers, you will remain at the front with Ardent Lance to check for traps. If we see one, we will disable or trigger it without hesitation."
Everyone nodded in agreement.
"Gentle Wind's side has cleared their oppressive pillar already, so we need to hasten our movement." Xu Feng continued, letting them know that they had fallen behind in terms of clearing speed.
"As expected of our Guild Leader!" Seemingly filled with pride, Steelshot held his chin up high, his eyes secretly gazing at Ardent Lance.
"Yes, Steelshot shall be in the frontline to trigger any traps discovered by DeathLingers. His guild leader is so good, which means her members must be the greatest elites." Xu Feng laughed and handed Steelshot a job suitable for the elite.
Instantly, Steelshot felt as if his life had been cut in half.

"We do not need to do that." Steelshot's face turned solemn as he stood up straight. "I'm willing to brave the danger for our group."
"No no no, you don't have to force yourself if you don't want to, Steelshot." Xu Feng shook his head and advised Steelshot gently.
"I am not forcing myself, Raid Leader. I simply want to contribute my part, so please let me have this job." Steelshot patted his chest, his eyes firm and determined.
Seeing his determination, Xu Feng nodded in satisfaction. "Very well, Steelshot. I knew that all big mouths must be courageous and elite. Otherwise, they wouldn't keep rambling on and on."
