Time quickly went by, and Allison was enjoying her food to the maximum.
"My goodness, I've never tasted this amazing quality before." She said in a shocked tone. And this statement was really high, given that she had dined in multiple high-class restaurants.
Yet none of those restaurants could come close to the taste and flavor of the simple dishes that she had ordered.
"Please tell me you're not going to turn into a foodie." Hearing her high praises, Xu Feng nearly choked on his beverage.
Just how many more people around him was the Divine World going to convert them into foodies?
First, it was Zhao Kai, followed by Carmen, and now it appeared as if Allison was going to be captivated by the food as well.
And to make things worse, Xu Feng felt that it was his fault to bring her to the Tavern.
After all, in the past timeline, when Allison joined the Divine World and tasted the food, she had a mediocre reaction. It wasn't because the food was not up to par, but she had experienced them before already from players who had studied under the NPC Chef.
"A foodie?" Meanwhile, Allison was startled by Xu Feng's sudden remark. "No, the food was great, but it's not that amazing to make me lose my emotion. It was just a novelty experience."
'But you just cried aloud in surprise.' Xu Feng wanted to say those aloud but ultimately decided against it.
Despite his decision, not another second later, Allison asked, "Can I order some more food? I'm kind of craving for their desserts."
"Just order until you're satisfied." He calmly responded, not even trying to diss her or anything.
"Thanks." She smiled sweetly in response, clearly appreciative of Xu Feng's response. Usually, men would just ask "Didn't you just eat" or "Why do you want more" type of questions, and she would have frowned at them.
However, Xu Feng said none of that and simply allowed her to do as she pleased.
Thus, another half an hour or so passed by, and Allison was finally satisfied.
"Do you still want to order more?"
"No need, I'm good. The Divine World is really something else. I feel full, but my stomach isn't bloated in any way or so."
Right at this moment, someone suddenly entered the Tavern and shouted, "Has anyone seen Cool Wind?"
The tavern which was usually filled with chattering, became alarmed and paused their conversation temporarily.
It wasn't because of the shouting that attracted them, but the fact that the player who entered was being held by two fierce NPC guards.
Such a sight was truly something else.
Meanwhile, Allison was slightly taken aback by the shouting and turned to Xu Feng. "Do you know that person?"
"Have you forgotten about a certain bully or a flirt in your case?" Xu Feng chuckled softly and glanced at the time.
Realization soon dawned upon Allison as she recalled Thunder Sword mentioning his cousin, Lightning Blade.
"Wait, so that's Lightning Blade?" Allison knitted her brows and glanced at the latter's current situation.
"Are you sure he's not just a criminal?" She added, having noticed Lightning Blade was cuffed and being held on a leash by the NPC guards.
While the crowd was confused by Lightning Blade, his eyes wandered around, and when he spotted a player with the Vanguard Guild emblem, his eyes widened.
'That's the Vanguard Guild emblem… and he's with a female player, so he should be the honorary elder, Cool Wind.' Lightning Blade quickly thought.
Without a doubt, he knew his cousin was one perverted person, and based on that female player's appearance and aura, he was positive that Thunder Sword must have offended her.
And her identity must be something special to be accompanied by Cool Wind. Thus, Lightning Blade readily confirmed that he should be the person he needed to report to.
"Guards, that's the honorary elder I've talked about. I swear I didn't try to break the law by forcefully coming here." Lightning Blade quickly pleaded with the guards upon spotting Xu Feng.
When the NPC guards heard Lightning Blade's words, one of them slowly approached Xu Feng.
Their aura and demeanor were imposing, but as soon as the guard laid his eyes on Xu Feng, they were taken aback.
Since Xu Feng only disguised his name and status screen, he didn't change his actual noble status through the Mirage Pendant. Therefore, the guard quickly noticed the Baron Status from Xu Feng.
"May I ask if you are familiar with the detained person, Sir?" The guard asked respectfully. Having learned of Xu Feng's noble status, he naturally needed to be polite in his tone.
With that being said, Xu Feng casually glanced at Lightning Blade and nodded in acknowledgment. "Yes, he's part of my guild."
"Ah, I see…" The guard smiled sheepishly and continued, "In that case, then it must have been a mistake on our part. We didn't know he was undergoing a task by you."
"No worries. It was my fault for not doing things through the proper procedure and troubled you guards." Xu Feng shook his head and generously retrieved a gold coin.
He then gave it to the guard and smiled, "Please take it as compensation for your hard work."
"No, I can't possibly take it." As much as the guard was enticed by the gold coin, he still refused with extreme difficulty.
"Oi, this is an order, and disobeying it means you are not taking me seriously."
After hearing that, the guard scratched his head and hesitantly accepted the gold coin. "If Sir said it, then I can only accept it."
Of course, that was just an act, and it was the norm to get things done this way. By accepting Xu Feng's generosity, the guards would then ignore this incident and not have it recorded at all.
There was no need for it. No record made meant no rules were broken.
"We shall now take our leave, Sir." The guard bowed respectfully to Xu Feng before commanding his comrades to release Lightning Blade as they swiftly exited the tavern.
A second later, Xu Feng then gazed at Lightning Blade with an unfriendly expression.
"I was sure that I wanted you to report to me as soon as possible yet you took more than half an hour. Do you even respect me as the honorary elder, Lighting Blade?"
