The backyard of a large mansion, which was supposedly filled with greenery and tons of beautiful scenery, had turned into a chaotic battlefield.
Due to the intense and uncontrollable Energy Force launched by Vince, nearly all the greenery such as trees and flowers had been vaporized.
However, the worst part wasn't even that, but rather a particular person nearly being grilled alive.
Xu Feng, who had long been at a standstill, was still forcefully trying to control the Energy Force from going amok. Despite his best effort though, some of those Energy Force still managed to slip through the crack and damaged some of his internal organs.
"Pfft!" He coughed up a mouthful of blood from the agitation.
"Feng!" Amidst his struggle in trying to resist the pain, Allison finally managed to smash through the glass thanks to the intensive force caused by Vince's attack.
Without hesitation, she quickly rushed to him, hoping that she could assist him, but upon realizing the state of Xu Feng's condition. She gasped in horror, and tears seemed to be seeping through her eyelid.
"What are you doing here?" Frustrated, Xu Feng managed to utter those questions out. He was in disbelief at how dumb Allison's actions were. This whole time, he had been stalling for reinforcement to arrive to safeguard her from danger.
After all, Vince's target was her all along.
Yet now it was just great.
She decided to deliver herself right in front of the enemy's footsteps despite his effort in trying to prevent that situation from the start.
"Relax, I'm not that dumb to waste all your effort." Allison shook her head and quickly explained. "One of my uncles had informed me that he had arrived here, so that Vince whatever can't lay a finger on me."
Sure enough, the moment she finished her words, Vince's eyes narrowed coldly.
His expression turned solemn as he gazed at the far east path.
'What a pity. She got someone strong coming in already.' Vince thought, his eyes shifting to Allison, who stood next to Xu Feng. Based on the strong presence he had sensed, if he were to make another move, then that expert would easily take his life.
Having determined the pros and cons, Vince knew the chance of assassination had reached its limit. At the same time, he became wary of Xu Feng.
Had it not been for him, then he wouldn't have agreed to the three-moves deal. After all, his sixth sense from the start had been warning him that Xu Feng was dangerous.
"Let's retreat," Vince commanded and vanished from the scene.
The remaining three intruders glanced at each other briefly, finding the situation perplexing. Nevertheless, they didn't dare to disobey and swiftly jumped away from the scene.
In their mind, there must have been a reason for their Master to sound for a retreat even though their target was in close proximity.
Shortly after the intruders had left the scene, Allison's eyes remained glued to Xu Feng.
"Are you okay, Feng?" She asked in concern, feeling guilty about his current plight.
Suddenly, a person appeared behind Allison and warned softly, "Just be quiet for a moment. This youngster is currently trying to dissipate and weaken the Energy Force in his body. He needs to remain concentrated, otherwise, he will implode and die."
"Uncle Alfred!" Allison cried out and embraced him. "Can't you do something to help him?"
Indeed, the person who had arrived was Allison's Uncle and also the one she had mentioned earlier about arriving soon, Alfred.
Alfred had a chiseled chin along with a great beard, looking no different in his 30s, but in reality, he was already nearing his 50s.
As Alfred gave Allison a head rub, he shook his head. "It's not that I don't want to help, but if I tried to, then the external factor might backfire instead."
"Is it that complicated?" She knitted her brows, seemingly unable to fathom the grim situation.
"This is why I said you should at least study a bit of Energy Force and not idle around as a Professor, little lass." Alfred smiled bitterly.
And he continued, "That intruder's Energy Force is currently trying to invade this youngster's body. Just now, some of them managed to slip through and attack his internal organ, forcing him to cough up a mouthful of blood."
"Just who would hire such a person to target me?"
"I don't know who, but you should really tone it down. I'm positive that the youngster lost control earlier because of your action."
"My action?" Dumbfounded, Allison was displeased that her Uncle was trying to tease or frame her.
How could it be her action when she never wanted to harm him in the first place? All she wanted was to learn some information regarding the Vanguard Guild.
Meanwhile, Alfred sighed and decided to not mention the fact that her action of rushing out to the danger had alerted the youngster and his concentration.
Although he had rushed here as soon as he received news from Allison, it was still a bit too late.
Thankfully, his arrival effectively stopped Vince from being able to advance further. Otherwise, Alfred was afraid that this youngster would lose his life by now, albeit his situation still wasn't much better.
'To be able to regulate that much aggressive Energy Force and restrain them in place. This youngster is really something else.' Alfred silently evaluated Xu Feng with high praise.
While he was evaluating, Xu Feng had his eyes closed by now to focus.
'The Energy Force is still trying to find a breakthrough and my own force is running out soon.' He calculated the plight he was in.
What he was experiencing was equivalent to a tug of war, in which he was alone while the opposing side had four people pulling.
No matter how strong an individual was, if the opposing side had similar strength but higher numbers, the result was quite obvious. The individual would ultimately lose the tug of war, either from loss of stamina, concentration, or power.
