Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer Chapter 659

Wei Xing might not have a high rank due to his outspoken and somewhat righteous nature, but one thing was positive. He would be damned if someone wanted him to do something that went against Xu Feng's ideals.

'Lightning Blade got humiliated to no end because he offended Cool Wind. As if I will reveal his identity when he clearly doesn't want others to know.' Wei Xing thought to himself.

News of Lightning Blade being punished heavily despite making significant contributions to the raid had spread among the guild.

And despite the fact that the guild was currently losing a lot of members because of the ongoing conflict happening within Star Falls City. The truth was that most of the people remaining were those who had been in the guild since the beginning.

Only those who had experienced demise and then the beacon of light knew how great the guild was once you're officially part of it.

The guild system operated in an extremely fair manner. There were practically zero people complaining about those in the higher ranked of the guild.

Of course, some criticisms were given, considering some questions as to why Shadow Blade held such a high position, but that was an internal guild matter. Even he only knew very little of Shadow Blade's task, which meant it was highly confidential.

As for Cool Wind and Lunar Wraith, it goes without saying. Both of them had zero criticisms, except for the enemies.

Lunar Wraith's ability was already confirmed to be fatal. Incur her wrath, and you would face extermination.

Cool Wind, on the other hand, might not have shown much contribution, but for him to easily bully and punish Lightning Blade. It meant that his connection with the guild was sky-high.

'They were nicknamed as the three taboos aside from the Guild Leader. I will not fall to the level of Lightning Blade.' Wei Xing exclaimed inwardly.

Meanwhile, Janet was so naturally dissatisfied that she was denied in an instant.

"How am I supposed to ponder whether to offer this sponsor if I don't have any knowledge of the person who may or may not receive them?" Janet turned her attention to Xu Feng and commented.

By now, she had determined Wei Xing was wary and submissive of this individual. The way Wei Xing tried to avoid eye contact the moment his name came up merely emphasized how significant Xu Feng was in the Vanguard Guild.

She had been informed that the current situation of the Vanguard Guild in the Divine World wasn't looking good. But the truth was, Janet had a feeling that the guild was merely cooking something devious behind the scenes.

To repeatedly create miracles that no one believed it was possible, how could it be easy for others to eradicate them?

"Ehm, my job is done now, right?" Amidst the tension, Wei Xing raised the question of whether he could be dismissed or not.

Through the 360-degree view, Wei Xing could tell the meeting was quite private and very intense. He had no wish to be part of something without any mental preparation.

"Yes, I'm sure Janet here believes I'm part of the Vanguard Guild now." Xu Feng replied and ended the video call.

A few seconds later, Janet's expression turned solemn. Her gaze was locked on Xu Feng, almost as if she was wondering what his identity was.

Although she received information through her hidden earpiece almost immediately ever since Xu Feng revealed his name, she scoffed at the information.

Whoever compiled that information might as well bang their heads on the wall!

Taking a deep breath, Janet no longer perceived Xu Feng as an ordinary youngster. Rather, she perceived him as an adult, who was capable of handling intense matters.

"So Feng, you want to receive the sponsor. But from what I know, your guild isn't faring well lately." Janet calmly said.

Nodding his head, Xu Feng naturally understood her meaning. 'It seems like she's ready to do the negotiation.'

He leaned back, crossed his legs, and smiled lightly. "Indeed, our guild member counts had dropped by more than 10,000 already."

"Can it still be considered a guild with the loss of manpower?" Janet mused.

"Well, can it really be a loss though?"

"Janet, let's say you have 3000 employees. Among them, only 1000 are actually capable and doing their job. If that's the case, then why are you paying the other 2000 employees?"

Janet was rendered speechless by the question. It wasn't that she was stumped or anything, but rather, she understood his implication.

"So in other words, you're saying that the Vanguard Guild isn't experiencing a downfall, but cutting the useless weights." Janet made a small chuckle, clearly finding the situation laughable.

"I must emphasize this first, Feng. I'm also a player in the Divine World and know just how important manpower is. You don't think that your excuse is enough to affect my decision to choose you as the sponsor, right?"

Although Xu Feng's example was crystal clear and direct, it was merely a misdirection to distract others from noticing the conflict.

The employees' example only worked because they were in the real world, where actual skills and experiences were prioritized.

However, the Divine World was not the same. Almost every player there could achieve a lot just by playing. Even if they might be weaker than the top player, their numbers alone could pose a problem just by gathering.

Stamina and mana played a key point during a frontal clash. So if a top player could handle a thousand players, then what about a swarm of ten thousand or above?

If the top player can't catch a breather, then no matter how strong they were, the winner would ultimately be the one with the superior numbers.

As Xu Feng stayed silent, Janet thought the latter had run out of cards.

'Seems is all the guild amount up to in the end.' She thought to herself, knowing that the Vanguard Guild must have been on their last desperate straw. They thought she was easy to persuade through some words or analogies, but that was their biggest mistake.

She stood up and was ready to leave through the mechanism door.

"If you leave now, then I believe you will regret your decision." Xu Feng finally opened his mouth and said nonchalantly.
