As the marching began, with Xu Feng taking the mantle, some were confused as to why they were marching to Skyland City.
"Blade, why didn't we just teleport there? It would save us so much walking time and stamina." Skyfire Mist inquired with a confused expression.
"Do you think I'm the Guild Leader or something?" Lightning Blade clicked his tongue and said, "If I knew why we're marching then I would have been promoted to Elite Member or Guild Captain."
Hearing that response, Skyfire Mist turned his attention to FreeLancer, who simply smiled bitterly in return.
Their conversation voice wasn't low either, so many others marching behind them or next to them also heard the question.
Indeed, why did they have to march to the city? This question began to emerge in many people's minds.
And the fact that many of them knew their Guild Leader had the answer, none dared to actually step up and question him. Only Lunar Wraith, their Guild Commander, or those close to her, were capable of asking multiple questions.
Finally, OneManMedia could no longer suppress his curiosity.
"Guild Leader, is it because we're going to war that we're not allowed to teleport to the city directly?" He raised his concern. After all, he recalled MIST also didn't directly teleport to Star Falls City but instead chose to walk to siege the city.
"Yes, if you use the teleport platform then you are basically identifying as neutral to the city and would not be able to do the war." Xu Feng confirmed his suspicion. This wasn't some big secret, so there was no need to conceal the matter.
Thanks to his confirmation, the others soon came to a realization and no longer complained about having to walk.
Time quickly went by and they could soon see Skyland City from afar.
Suddenly, Xu Feng halted his footsteps and raised his hand, signaling for the group behind to stop.
Those in the back were confused, but Carmen had already begun summoning her creatures. Without a doubt, she had similarly sensed the enemies nearby as Xu Feng did.
Just when Carmen was about to attack, the enemies quickly undo their stealth and reveal themselves.
"Wait, we're not here to fight." One of them exclaimed in a hurry. It was a group of three people, and each one of them was an Assassin with some high-level stealth equipment.
Alas, their stealth still couldn't escape the eyes of those with keen perspective.
Carmen didn't bother to respond to them and merely glanced at Xu Feng, clearly waiting for his signal.
"Since you're not here to fight, then why are you trying to conceal yourself?" Xu Feng mused.
"I'm Hudson Rowdy, and I'm representing my Guild Leader Tyler to offer a peaceful negotiation. We are willing to take a step back and compensate you more." Hudson Rowdy clarified his intention.
"If we go to war, it would only benefit those on the sidelines. We shouldn't give others a chance to reap the benefits as third parties, right?" He continued, trying his best to persuade Xu Feng to rest the matter.
Meanwhile, Xu Feng suddenly burst out laughing. He ignored Hudson Rowdy and turned around to check his guild members and those who were recruited.
"People, Hudson Rowdy, the representative of MIST, wants to compensate us more. What do you think I should do?" He asked loudly.
Almost immediately, the crowd replied to the question with a cold sneer.
"We can get the compensation after walking through their corpses!"
"Hmph, a guild like MIST is no different than the Reaver Guild. A tyrant who only dares to step over weaklings but cower in fear of the strong!"
As the fervor of the crowd echoed throughout the field, Hudson Rowdy's expression turned ugly.
'Fuck, why are they all so battle crazed? We've already taken a huge step back.' He cursed silently.
Having realized the sweet method approach failed, Hudson Rowdy decided to take the stern approach.
"I must warn you Guild Leader Lin Feng. You might be strong in the Divine World, but can you say the same in the real world? With our financial background, we can easily topple you in the real world."
"Guild Leader, can I do it now?" Annoyed and irritated, Carmen asked if she could make a move already.
"Sorry, but someone else is more eager than you." Xu Feng rejected her and shrugged.
"Who?" She twitched her brows, seemingly unsure of who would dare to snatch her kill.
As soon as Xu Feng said so, Flint, who had been burrowed underground, emerged from below Hudson Rowdy. With a heavy tremor, Hudson Rowdy was taken by surprise. His vision was soon covered by a majestic paw that stepped right into his face.
The damage was quite devastating, but it wasn't enough to kill him.
However, Hudson Rowdy wished he had died from the blow, given what greeted him afterward was a fiery temperature of Molten Breath.
The flame burned through his health points in an instant. Hudson Rowdy's other two companions were equally caught by the rupture of the ground caused by Flint.
Before they could even get a chance to use their movement skill to maneuver their way out to escape, they were already apprehended by Flint's Geode Burst and Earthquake Stomp.
After easily dealing with the three assassins, Flint chirped happily and flew straight to Xu Feng, much to the dumbfounded Carmen.
"Ugh, so it was you, Flint." Carmen smiled bitterly. She wanted to test some of her new battle strategy out using these three guinea pigs, but Flint had called dibs first. She couldn't even get mad when Flint was just so cute that she started rubbing its smooth yet stony head.
While everyone else was shocked at the speed of Flint's efficiency, Xu Feng snapped his fingers and beckoned for OneManMedia.
"Yes, Guild Leader?" OneManMedia stepped forward and asked.
"It's time to pick three lucky viewers. The loot dropped by these three Assassins is quite rare, so I wonder who will receive them." Xu Feng pointed at the items and smirked.
