Indeed, the person whom Xu Feng had called over was none other than Crimson Heart.
She was the player he went against back when he was at Paradise Plains and ultimately gave up the trophy to her.
Since then, she stayed there and trained under Yaren.
Although her training was filled with lots of difficulty, she didn't give up once and finally got Yaren's approval.
Now, she was a level 35 Assassin and an Adept level for the Profession of Blacksmith and Engineer.
Such status was enough for Crimson Heart to be highly sought after by numerous top guilds.
Alas, those top guilds could all go to their bed and cry in their blanket. After all, this kind of talented player had already been recruited by him.
'Oh, the luck is really 50-50 for me.' Xu Feng exclaimed inwardly, completely unaware that both Crimson Heart and Carmen started clashing.
"Tsk, only the Adept level?" Carmen snickered and continued, "And here I thought you became an Expert in the Profession. What was Yaren thinking in saying you passed? Oh, maybe it was Yaren finding you untalented and just want to call it a day."
"Maybe it might be true, but it's still better than a one-trick phony." Crimson Heart smirked. "If I recall, all you ever did was summon a few creatures here and there, then execute the lower levels. Was it funny bullying the weak?"
"What do you mean bullying the weak? They were the ones who targeted us first!"
"Oh was it? What happened to you massacring MIST members previously when they haven't actually done anything yet?"
"It was a warning, okay? A warning!"
"Warning or not, you still acted first without any physical evidence. That's precisely what a bully does!"
As their bantering turned fiercer by the second, Xu Feng had to quickly intervene and dash toward the middle of them.
"Alright, that's enough for the two of you." He declared and gazed at them. "Whoever continues to banter and argue, I shall sentence them to work overtime without pay.
Instantly, both Carmen and Crimson Heart started laughing and shaking each other's hands.
"Oh my, I haven't seen you for a while. You've become stronger." Crimson Heart giggled and praised.
"Oh please, you are clearly doing better. You reached the same level as me and the Adept level for two Professions. You are amazing." Carmen shook her head and rejected the praise.
"Hmm, I guessed we both are amazing then!"
"Agreed, we are amazing in our own rights!"
Shortly after, the two warmly hugged each other, almost as if they were besties for a long time.
Their actions completely stupefied Xu Feng on the spot.
'Here I thought I was two-faced at the maximum level, but I was just a frog in the well when compared to these two.' He twitched his mouth in disbelief.
"I'm glad that the two of you are friendly. Otherwise, I might have just planned on overworking you two to the point that you can't even argue." He cleared his throat and dropped a subtle hint of the possible consequences.
"I was always a friendly person." Crimson Heart was the first to respond and continued, "Anyway, I've inspected the town before and even gone through the design you gave me. It's possible for me to construct it, but the likelihood of succeeding is not that high."
"You're talking about the Oppressive Pillar, right?" Carmen chimed in.
Nodding, Crimson Heart didn't conceal the matter. "Yeah, the components required for the Oppressive Pillar are too complicated."
"Hmm, but Star Falls City already constructed it." Carmen furrowed her brows. She then turned to Xu Feng and asked, "Why couldn't we ask the Engineers NPCs from there to construct it?"
"If that was possible, then did you think the Guild Leader wouldn't have done that already?" Crimson Heart clicked her tongue.
Indeed, the problem with the construction of the Oppressive Pillar was that no NPC could be hired to do so.
In fact, it was a restriction that was imposed by the Divine World System.
Firstly, it was to prevent the filthy rich from abusing their wealth to hire NPCs and have them construct the most disgustingly difficult yet over-power structure.
Secondly, this was to force players to take the initiative to actually learn a Profession themselves. It was to immerse the players to truly feel like they were a part of the Divine World.
Finally, it was a player-owned town or city. In other words, the player must establish and figure out everything themselves without relying on any NPCs.
The only they would be assisted was the construction of the town or city itself. However, once that was done, NPCs would no longer intervene with their matter, except for other circumstances that would be discussed in the future.
"So we have no choice but to rely on Crimson Heart to construct the Oppressive Pillar." Carmen twitched her mouth. The requirement to be level 35 to arrive here wasn't the problem, but the fact that they needed someone they could trust. Thus, only Crimson Heart fit as the candidate.
"Mhmm, and I'll be assisting her in the matter." Xu Feng said.
"Then what am I supposed to do?"
"You are tasked with the Training Hall and Arena Combat."
"And how am I going to do that?" Carmen raised an eyebrow. As unwilling as she was, she had zero idea of how to accomplish the task.
Luckily, Xu Feng anticipated she wasn't going to know it all.
"Your two helpers have arrived." He commented and pointed at Razor and Brutus.
"Eh, but didn't you say NPCs won't help us?" Startled, Carmen clearly didn't expect these two to be here.
"Ah, I forgot to clarify. No talented NPC in the craft could be hired because they aren't available. Oppressive Pillar is classified as unique and therefore is restricted. But the Training Hall and Arena Combat aren't categorized as such." Xu Feng explained.
Speechless, Carmen realized the previous explanation was bull crap.
'I bet all those were fake and it's just him being stingy with money.' She sneered inwardly.
