Five minutes prior to Xu Feng soloing two Colossuses at once.
"Guild Leaders, your duty is to maintain the formation and rotation that we've discussed before. No matter the situation, you must ensure it cannot be altered in any way." Xu Feng warned solemnly.
"We understand." The Guild Leaders responded.
The formation and rotation were constructed meticulously. Any changes in it would result in the collapse of their defense system.
When Xu Feng saw their solemn expression, he nodded in approval.
"Good, now my next warning is that no matter what you see on the battlefield. Your eyes need to remain focused on your task. Is that clear?" He then declared.
Although the people were confused by these specific words, they still agreed to it. After all, in a large battlefield one where everyone must do their task near perfection. One could not afford to be distracted anyway.
A few seconds later, everyone assumed their position, and the battle officially started.
"Charge forward!" Xu Feng shouted.
"Dawnshire City shall live!" A thunderous voice echoed throughout the battlefield amidst thousands of players chanting for the safety of their city.
The ferocious monsters up ahead similarly screeched, roared, and used their own style of chant to charge.
Soon, the battlefield descended into chaos, with spells and illuminated light of explosion appearing every second.
"Shadow Blade, you take over the smaller version." Xu Feng called out and pointed at an authentic Colossus that was much smaller in size compared to the rest.
"Leave that pile of rock to me." Zhao Kai nodded and wasted no time to dash ahead. There was no time for jokes or games when faced with such a serious situation.
He activated his EX Gluttony Skill and Ultimate Skill immediately, putting the latter on cooldown. His intention was to burst the Colossus with everything he got then proceeded to stall with his defense to wait for the cooldown to come back up.
"Get over here." He screamed and bashed his shield against the Colossus, completely taking the aggro.
Furious, the Colossus instantly turned its attention and focus on Zhao Kai.
Without hesitation, it quickly retaliated with a burst of Earth Force in the hope of disintegrating Zhao Kai.
"Heh, I've already anticipated that." Unfazed by the force, Zhao Kai swapped his small shield for a large and sturdy one. He stamped the shield on the ground and took cover behind it.
The Earth Force was a target-locked offense and couldn't be dodged unless there were terrains to block the attack.
However, it was an open field, and if Zhao Kai were to dodge. Then the attack would definitely stray off its path and might damage the affiliated parties.
He had no such concern at Evershade City because none of the players involved were allies.
But here in Dawnshire City, one of their allies was affiliated with his eldest sister.
'Good thing I've got those buffed potions. Their effects are really wondrous.' Zhao Kai thought to himself. Had his thought process become known to a certain player that rhymes with PotionBoarder, then they might cough up blood again.
As the beam of Earth Force went straight to the shield, Zhao Kai instantly felt the intensity of the power. His footing nearly lost its balance amidst the powerful force. And his hands quickly turned numb from the sensation and vibration caused by the force being dissipated around the shield.
Thankfully, the attack only lasted for 2 seconds, and the durability was still above half.
"Phew, Fiona's craftwork is really no joke." Zhao Kai breathed a sigh of relief. He glanced at his shield which appeared burnt on the surface, but that was just its appearance. The actual effectiveness was still on top form.
A few seconds later, Zhao Kai began to manage the Colossus by himself after more lectures and tutoring conducted by Xu Feng, he became more confident.
Meanwhile, at the main center, Xu Feng was completely baffled by the Colossus he chose.
"No wonder the Colossuses went from 3 to 5." Xu Feng twitched his brows. He was in utter disbelief at his misfortune which seemed to have taken a turn for the worst.
Just how was it possible for them to encounter a couple Colossus?
The two Colossus in the center were a couple. The distinctive feature was none other than the extremely tiny mark on their right and left thigh. The left thigh of the Colossus was marked with a half-heart shape.
It was like an inverted cone shape, but when matched with the other Colossus whose mark was on the right thigh, the two inverted cone shapes would turn into a heart shape.
He failed to notice it previously because of how small the marks were as opposed to their large size. Not to mention, who had the time to check their thighs from afar?
Unless one got a thigh fetish, and one that didn't mind it being a pile of rock as well, then they would have noticed it.
As the two Colossuses stared down at Xu Feng, the latter was disgruntled.
"This isn't fair. Can I change it to a one versus one?" Xu Feng commented.
Unfortunately, what he received in response was a stomp from the two Colossuses.
The ground started to crack from the pressure whereas Xu Feng went airborne and cursed them. "Bunch of rocks really have zero etiquettes. How could you attack without any warning?"
However, the moment he said that. One of the Colossus suddenly pointed somewhere at a distance.
When Xu Feng traced the pointing, he wanted to whistle but didn't have the skill to do so.
After all, they pointed at a blast radius—a trap that he had set beforehand.
Without a doubt, they understood his curses and responded by saying that he had no etiquette first.
As Xu Feng landed on the ground, he shrugged his shoulders.
"That trap was not done by me." He argued and glanced at the surroundings until he spotted someone.
His eyes lit up as he then pointed at a distance, "The trap was set by him."
The person who was pointed out was none other than Zhao Kai.
As the Colossus turned their gaze to the pointed man, Xu Feng behaved innocently.
"That man over there is the one who set the trap. Please go after him instead of me, who is completely innocent and had nothing to do with this." He explained sincerely.
