'Phew, I thought it was Qing Rou.' She breathed out a sigh of relief. It would have been really terrible if Gentle Wind caught her trying to invest in the Vanguard Guild behind her back.
She would have been bombarded with an earful repeatedly.
"Nothing. I was just conversing with your Honorary Elder about possible cooperation in the future for some raids or events." Autumn Breeze cleared her throat and explained.
"Well, I should excuse myself then." She continued, her eyes catching a glimpse of the Colossus being killed already.
Their conversation had only been for a few minutes, but that time slot was enough for Carmen to solo kill an authentic Colossus. Such a devastating power was indeed terrifying.
'It seems like I'll need to re-evaluate the strength of the Vanguard Guild again. They're too mysterious and powerful to be offended.' She made a mental note and left the area.
As she left, Carmen had her eyes narrowed. She would be damned to believe the words she had just uttered.
"Is she really a member of the Silver Wind Guild?" Carmen tilted her head and questioned. "Her demeanor and action indicated that she should be a leader and not some regular member."
When Xu Feng heard that, he nearly laughed aloud in response.
"Do you want to hear the truth about her?" He mused.
Carmen paused for a moment before shaking her head. "Nah, I'm not interested in her. She had the shrewd and scheming type of personality just like you. Interacting with one of them was enough already."
Although Xu Feng couldn't deny the claim, it was still hurtful to admit that he was a scheming type.
In this crappy world, one could easily be devoured if they were naive and innocent. Rather than being the person to be devoured, he would rather choose to be the person who devoured others instead.
"Anyway, this part of the battlefield should be done, right?" Carmen clasped her hands.
Nodding, Xu Feng retrieved the corpse and all the drop loot.

"Okay, Shadow Blade doesn't want my assistance, so shall I head over to the left side of the battlefield?" Carmen inquired.
As of now, the center and ride side have been cleared thanks to her timely assistance. Only the left side which was being handled by the Tyrant Fist and Silver Legion guild was still struggling.
Carmen expected his response to agree so she was about to summon a portal to exit. However, she was halted by Xu Feng.
"Wait a second." Xu Feng called out and then pulled her closer. He then whispered something to her ears, prompting Carmen's ears to perk up.
Her expression also changed occasionally, and in the end, she had a sly grin hanging on her face.
"Haha, I can't believe some people would still court death in such a foolish manner. I thought it would only happen in those ridiculous brainless dramas and movies." She chuckled in amusement.
"Well, some people are just born hopeless." Xu Feng shrugged. "Anyway, I suppose you agreed to my plan."
"Of course. It's not like I care much about that fisting brute guy anyway."
The fisting brute guy naturally referred to Herald Fist, who had been deemed a tyrant due to his behavior.
It was a good thing that only Xu Feng was present to hear Carmen's nickname for him. Otherwise, he would have lost a juicy fat sheep to butcher and harvest the money.
'Fat sheep like Herald Fist need to be catered.' Xu Feng noted to himself.
Sometime later, Carmen exited the battlefield through her portal, and Xu Feng was really jealous of her skill.
Cooldown of the Void Portal was also dependent on the distances. The further the distances, the longer the cooldown. And vice versa, the shorter the distances, the shooter the cooldown duration.
However, that wasn't even the most broken part of the skill. It was the fact that it held 3 usages and was subjected to increase if her level rose.
After all, news of Carmen's Void Portal in the past timeline was under heavy scrutiny, with players deducing she had at least 10 usages.
What made Xu Feng extremely jealous was that the restriction on the Void Portal was very little. She could save a ton of gold coins by using the Teleport Platform itself.

He nearly wanted to delete his character. There was a limit to how much a person could endure before erupting into chaos.

"I'll just spectate Kai and wait for the fools." He murmured and located Zhao Kai through his map.
By the time he arrived at Zhao Kai's action, Xu Feng's eyes suddenly narrowed coldly.
