Chapter 21: Chapter 21: CASEY’S MATE
It has been a week since Ariana left the pack, although they were still looking for her, there was no more trace. It was like she had disappeared from the face of the earth.
Hunter walked around the pack, watching their warriors training hard more than ever.
"It’s too late now for you to be regretting." His wolf scolded.
"How was I supposed to know that she was the strongest in the pack?" He asked trying to lessen his guilt.
"Well now you know, and the is nothing that you can do." His wolf said reminding him of the situation.
"She said she was pregnant. The baby is the way into getting her back." Hunter replied confidently.
"I cannot feel her wolf anymore, or wait you rejected her and took her sister as your newmate." His wolf said sarcastically.
"Do you have to torment me now?" Hunter asked his wolf.
This was the everyday situation; his wolf always reminded him of the mistake that he made but rejecting Ariana.
Today was Casey’s birthday she was going to find her mate today; she was scared and nervous. She doesn’t know if her mate would end being one of her tormentors. She freshened up and went to school like normal.
When she arrived at school; she smelled the most delicious scent out there. She followed the scent and what shocked was worse than she could have ever imagined. She locked eyes with Bradley who was Ariana’s brother.
"No!" She muttered under her breath and turned around and left the scene.
"It can’t be. This has to be a joke." She shook her head leaving.
How could the man that treated her friend wrong despite being his family be her mate. If he could treat his sister like that, how would he treat her.
All these thoughts ran around in her mind that she didn’t notice him following her.
"Come with me!" Bradley grabbed her arm and dragged her to a quiet place.
When they reached, she yanked her arm out of his grip.
"What is it?" She asked looking elsewhere.
"Casey!" He said in a low tone.
"Don’t say my name." She said looking directly into his eyes.
"I am your mate whether you like it or not." He said warning.
"No, I don’t accept this. I will reject you." She said shaking her head.
"The Moon Goddess can’t do this to us, you torture me how could you be my mate." She asked in agony.
Looking at him was just bringing memories when he and his friends would kick her and had a great laugh at it. How could she and Ariana both get their tormentors as their mates.
"I know you going to reject me, I am not you ideal and neither are you mine. So let’s get it over." She said wiping her tears.
She pulled up herself and looked at him waiting for him to reject her, but what he said next shocked her to the core.
"I’m not going to do that." He said looking directly into her eyes.
"What?" She asked in shock.
"I’m not going to make the same mistake Hunter did." He said softly.
