REJECTED ONCE, FROZEN FOREVER Chapter 50

Chapter 50: Chapter 50: I AM YOUR MOTHER

Casey led the way to the pack house, she held Bradley’s hand. Ariana saw their hand and thought to ask her when they were alone.

"Casey, I want to go and see grandpa." Ariana said when they reached the pack house.

"Ari grandpa died." Bradley looked at his sister and softly.

"Don’t call me that." Ariana reprimanded him.

"Casey?" She asked again, wanting to hear the answer from her.

"You grandpa passed away few days after you left." Casey replied sympathetically.

"Ariana can we talk?" Bradley asked but Ariana gave him a cold glance.

"Can you take to his grave?" Ariana asked turning her attention to Casey.

"Yeah!" Casey replied.

’Babe, give it time.’ Casey told Bradley through their mate bond.

’But I want to make it up to her.’ He replied with pain in his voice.

"I’m going to see my grandfather’s grave, you guys can settle in so longs." Ariana turned to them saying and nodded at Dylan.

"I’ll come with you." Adrian spoke taking her hand.

"Hmm!" Ariana nodded.

"I’ll see you!" Casey turned to Bradley and kissed his cheek, Bradley nodded.

Bradley took over and showed them to their rooms. Each couple were assigned a room. Dylan and Aaron shared a room, and Isabelle was supposed to share a room with Sophia.

After Bradley finished giving them tour, they nodded and went into their respective room. Bradley went to his mother to tell her the news, she was also miserable for the past two years.

"Mom!" He called out knocking on the door.

"Bradley!" His mother called out when she opened the door an saw him.

Bradley looked at his mother who looked like she had aged ten more years. Ever since Ariana left she was left in guilt, thus was why she looked like ten years older than her age.

Bradley walked into the house and sat down.

"I have something to tell you." He said as soon as she sat down as well.

"What is it? Is it something serious?" She asked.

"Yes, Ariana is back." He said looking at her.

"WHAT!" She shouted in shock.

"You mean Ariana is back, she is alive." She asked standing up placing her hand on her chest.

"Yes mom, she is alive. She is here in the pack." Bradley replied letting the tears fall.

"Where is she? I want to see her." She asked with tears falling down.

"Mom, she..." Bradley struggled to say.

"She’s what? Is she hurt." She asked worriedly.

"No, she is not hurt." He replied.

"Then?" She asked again.

"She’s different!" He said not knowing how to explain.

"It doesn’t matter that she is different. My baby is back." She said joyfully.

"Where is she?" She asked anxiously.

"Casey took her to grandpa’s grave." Bradley replied.

"Okay, I’ll go and see her." She said running to her room to fetch her shoes.

Bradley tried to stop her, his mother had been the most stressed. She wanted to see Ariana badly, but he was worried how Ariana was going to behave.

Ariana and Adrian got inside Casey’s car and Casey drove them to the cemetery. Ariana and Adrian got out when they arrived, Casey led the way and Ariana grabbed Adrian’s hand for support.

They walked for a while until Casey stopped at the grave. "This is where he lays." He said pointing at their grave.

"Grandpa, I am back. Why did you leave?" She asked looking at the grave with grievance.

"I always thought that the first person I would come to meet when I’m back. I never imagined that, that was the last time I would see you. I even brought my mate to meet you, you were supposed to meet my new family who gave me a whole new life." She spoke and turned to look at the sky.

"He left before I could say goodbye!" She turned to look at Adrian.

"He would have love you." She spoke.

Adrian nodded and squat down to the grave and started to pluck the weeds out, his hand traced the name on the tombstone.

"I promise to love and protect her on your behalf." He spoke softly.

Ariana felt a breeze.

"Grandpa, you don’t have to worry about me anymore. I am very happy where I am." She said looking at the grave.

Ariana’s mother opened the door and rushed out, she got in her car and drove to the cemetery.

"Ariana!" Ariana’s mother voice came as a whisper when she saw her daughter.

She quickly got down from the car. "Ariana!" She shouted running over to them.

Ariana and Adrian turned to see her mother running towards them. When her mother reached he opened her arms to embrace Ariana, but Ariana did the same thing that she did Bradley and took a step back.

"Mrs. Carter!" Ariana called out coldly.

"Ariana, it’s your mother." She said crying.

"You’re live, I am happy to see you again." Her mother added.

"Oh, I thought my mother wished me dead." Ariana asked sarcastically.

The words hurt her, but she also knew that she caused that.

"I’m your mother, why would I wish you’re dead?" She asked with pain her eyes.

"I don’t know who this drama is for, but we have to get going." Ariana said coldly and it was only then her mother noticed Adrian and Ariana’s red eyes.

"What happened to you? Who is he?" She asked puzzled.

"Casey I’ll catch up with you later." Ariana hugged her and she and Adrian left.

"She...!" Ariana’s mother’s mouth hung open in shock.

"Casey what is going on?" She asked turning to Casey.

"I’m not sure, she said to tell me everything later." Casey replied.

"Mom let’s go back home.’" Casey spoke,

"She won’t let me hug her." Ariana’s mother complained.

"Mom, it is going to take time for her to open, this pack really wronged her." Casey explained.

"I understand, but she..." She looked in the direction where Ariana left.

Ariana took Adrian to the lake where she use to go to get away from the house.

"I thought I would feel something coming back here, but I feel nothing." Ariana spoke walking ahead.

"You mean..." He asked.

"Yeah, I finally forgave them, I let go of the past and want to focus on my future with you." She replied looking at him.

"This was the spot I would always come to when I wanted to get away from the house." She said showing him around.

"It’s beautiful!" Adrian replied looking around.

There was a flower meadow surrounding the lake.

"Samantha is going to love this place." Ariana spoke.

"I’m glad you didn’t break down. It’s painful to see Amelia break down like that whenever she goes back to Svalbard. I was worried it would be like that with you." He said honestly.

"I thought I would be sad, but even seeing my mother and the way she treated me I felt nothing." Ariana replied.

"When I was growing up, as soon as I turned two, my mother told the nanny looking after me that she should let me do everything by myself. She made sure to remind me everyday how unwanted I was to them. She only wanted two kids, so I was the mistake that would always remind her of that." She said sitting down.

Adrian came and joined her and she leaned her head on he shoulder.

"I was treated worse than a dog in this pack, the pack member seeing how my family didn’t care whether I lived or died, decided to start bullying me. I though my mate would take me from this hell, but you know what happened." She spoke quietly.

"Do you regret what happened?" Adrian asked.

"Yes and no, yes because it’s a shame I wasted my virginity on that bastard. No, because I got to meet you and everyone else. I wouldn’t have had Sophia whom I love with all my heart." She said thinking of her daughter.

"I am happy she had Dylan in her life." Ariana spoke.

"But, he is way old." Adrian teased.

"Age doesn’t matter in the name of love." She teased back.

"I still can’t that fact." Ariana said.

"I almost killed him that day." Adrian said remembering the anger he felt that day.

"Why?" She asked him, she was shocked but not to that point.

"I though that she was my little girl." Adrian replied.

"I think he’s good with her." Ariana assured him.

"He better, even if he is my cousin." He grunted.

"My daughter and my cousin are mated how ridiculous. Is he going to call me dad when she reaches her maturity?" He asked picturing it in his mind.

Ariana laughed, Dylan had asked her the same thing.

"He asked me if he should start to call me mom." She said laughing.

"Imagine!" Adrian replied laughing back.

Adrian and Ariana enjoyed the moment, chatting a little.

Hunter looked at them from a distance and started to shake in anger. Ariana was his, he was her mate, she was going to come back to him. Their child was the key to them being together again.
