"The entire Jones Corporation is mine? Aren’t you afraid I’ll strip it bare, President Jones?"
She arched an eyebrow and retorted.
"As long as you have the ability, you can take it wherever you want,"
Adam Jones said with a smile, but the seriousness in his eyes was far from joking. Unfortunately, Elly Campbell took it as a joke, not taking it seriously at all.
She laughed, "The whole Jones Corporation is indeed attractive, but I have too small an appetite and not enough ability to swallow such a big piece of cake. Thanks for the offer, President Jones."
She cheerfully declined.
Adam’s heart sank slightly, knowing that Elly would refuse, but he still felt some disappointment.
"As the largest shareholder of Campbell, don’t you want to consider Campbell’s interests?"
He asked unwillingly, only to see Elly shrugging her shoulders, "Soon I won’t be, the interests of Campbell have nothing to do with me."
Saying that, a cold light flashed in her eyes, suppressing the gloom deep within, she didn’t discuss her thoughts with Adam. But Adam was taken aback by her words, a chill flickering in his eyes, "James Campbell wants to take away your shares?"
Although James Campbell was his former father-in-law, Elly’s father, if Elly herself didn’t acknowledge him, he naturally wouldn’t show him any face or respect.
Elly smiled and took a sip of the red wine at hand, "He doesn’t have the ability."
Speaking, she paused for a moment and preempted Adam, "Let’s not talk about these depressing things, let’s eat quickly."
She didn’t want to discuss her plans for Campbell with Adam.
Adam also sensed the slight rejection in her tone and didn’t ask any further.
But if James Campbell really dares to have designs on her, he won’t be polite.

When Adam suddenly mentioned his son, the food that Elly had just brought to her mouth almost got stuck before she could swallow it.

"As long as you don’t push me away, William can always stay with you,"

"President Jones must have a misunderstanding, when have I ever pushed you away?"
"When have you not pushed me away?"
Adam pressed down the corners of his lips that kept rising, "Since you don’t push me away, why not call me Adam like before?"
As expected, the smile on Elly’s face, already stretched to its limit, instantly stiffened.
"It’s just a name, why does President Jones have to be so literal?"
The reluctance on Elly’s face was not hidden at all.
