Adam Jones’s piercing gaze swept fiercely across Daisy Thompson’s face, startling her into swallowing the words she had been about to say.

Harry Hall noticed her distress and moved imperceptibly from Adam Jones’s side to Helen’s. He gently patted her shoulder and softly said,
"Don’t worry, we’ve already sent someone to look for her."
With that, his gaze shifted to Adam Jones, whose complexion was growing paler by the second, and with a furrowed brow, he said,
"Adam, your injury..."
"I’m fine, I’ll go find Elly now."

"I just saw a lady come out of the restroom and she went upstairs via the other staircase. She hasn’t come down since, she might still be up there."
