"Then be careful over there."
Adam pulled Elly into his embrace and kissed her forehead firmly, saying, "Be good and wait for me at home until I return."
"Make sure to eat well, sleep well, don’t stay up late, and let the servants help you with anything you need. Don’t take any risks on your own."

"It’s only two days, I’m not staying away forever. Why all the fuss."
Adam smiled and habitually rubbed her head as he said,
"I just don’t feel at ease when you’re not by my side."
"Then finish your business quickly and come back, don’t make us wait too long."
She wouldn’t admit to him how much she missed him, how much she didn’t want him to leave her side, and how even two days felt as long as a lifetime.
