David's eyes narrowed at the man. His face had a long frown.
"Who do you think you are?" he asked back, "this is my house, i will throw both of you out of this room." he warned only for his assistant to come forward and whispered something.
The assistant had been waiting for David for a long time. When the boss did not come out, he followed him in the room only to see Alric standing there. Alric looked strangely similar and when they were talking he could not help but take his picture and check on the internet.
What he saw made his eyes widen and break him into cold sweat. He could not believe that his boss was challenging such a godly authority.
But when he tried to warn his boss, his boss glared at him coldly and then smirked at Alric.
"Ha! People with orphanages and NGO's really believe that they are some bigshots! You think you can enter anyone's house and challenge them? Wait, let me take this to the police station and then you will learn your lesson." he warned and took out his phone.
He was expecting Alric to shiver in fear or feel humiliated at least. But he was surprised to see the small smile on his face. He looked amused by the insult David was giving him.
David felt enraged. He was only planning to scare the young boy. But if the young boy was so arrogant, he must be taught a lesson.
With that thought, he took out his cellphone. Since he was in the business world, he had contact with many police officers. He was sure that he could get people like Alric to prison easily.
But his assistant came forward and held his arm again. Even when David glared, the assistant did not let go of his hands.
"Max, do you want a demotion too? What the hell are you doing?" he glared at his assistant only for him to look at Alric with a desperate gaze.
David was not a fool to not get the warning. He walked out of the room signaling his assistant to follow him.
As they both left the room, Alric's gaze shifted back to the young girl and the mark on her fair skin. He kept staring at those marks, his eyes turning darker and darker.
He leaned down and held the girl in his arms again, surprising the doctor.
"Are we taking her already?" he had a hint of surprise in his eyes only to earn a look from Alric, that said, "shut up and follow me."
Penny frowned as she noticed them walking away.
"Hey, where do you think you are taking my sister? You can not leave until my father returns." she warned both of them only to earn a dark look from Alric.
For some reason, she bowed her head as soon as their eyes met. Her heart was shivering with fear.
Alric held the young girl in his arms and walked out of the room. David was standing there with his assistant. He had a handkerchief in his hand and wiped his forehead.
When he heard footsteps behind him, he turned with a frown on his head only to see Alric standing behind him. He flinched as if he had seen the ghost.
"The girl is severely injured. I am taking her to my hospital." Alric had a soft smile on his face as if he was talking about weather but David gulped.
He did not have the courage to behave arrogant again. But if Alric took Nora with her, a scandal would be waiting for him outside the house.
"Mr Stunner," David spoke in a respectful voice, the haughtiness was nowhere to be seen, "I understand that you believe in helping the needy. And I feel respect for you. But my niece did not need help. She had a family. I do not understand why you are meddling in my affairs. As long as you will leave now, i will forget about this encounter completely." he spoke in a kind voice and then continued, "in fact, i will personally come and donate a good amount to your hospital." he offered like a magnanimous person only to earn a chuckle from Alric.
The doctor looked at David as if he was looking at a fool, he had no words left for him.
"Mr Stuart, I have heard that you are a witty person who has achieved so much for his family." Alric started in an amused voice, "i neve knew that the internet could be this misleading."
"......" David's face went ugly at once. It looked like he wanted to curse Alric, but he was controlling. That made his face look like a red tomato.
"If i want, i can buy your company without even blinking, and you think you have the ability to offer me a donation. You surely are too simpleminded." with that he looked at the young girl in her hands. Her face looked red due to the fever but it had increased her allure up to ten fold.
Alric could not help but feel heated just by looking at her.
"As long as it is about this girl. Her parents had died already so she fit in the cafeteria with my help. If you tried to stop me again, I would have trouble calling the police officers you were calling before.'' He looked at the shivering assistant as if he was giving the warning to the assistant.
"If you have the ability, stop me." The threat was so cold that David did not dare to move. He looked with narrowed eyes as Alric took Nora away.
The moment they left, he threw his expensive phone on the ground and cursed.
"How the hell did a social influencer and owner of chain of hospitals got involved with my niece? Investigate the matter and find why was he so interested in Nora?" if the truth would come out, he would be damned.
