"Adam is older to you. Though he is a genius and completed his studies early, he is already in the job while you are still working. You should pay more attention to your studies." Alric spoke with such a serious face that Nora frowned. Was he trying to inform her that she was not serious enough?
"I am going to rank first this year." she replied icily as she stood up. She did not want another person in her life who thought that she was good for nothing.
Alric had a stunned expression when she left. Did the girl just give him a cold shoulder? But he had already seen the change in Alex’s record after meeting her and he had called her to give her a bonus.
"Forget it! If you do not want it." He glared at the closed door and studied the reports again. But then he pushed the pen away and picked up his mobile phone.
"Hello, i want you to take over the company without changing their policies and management instead of buying only its shares." he threw the mobile on the side and started working again.

Nora booked a taxi and reached Victor’s house. She was prepared for cold gazes and a narrowed look but she was surprised when the staff received her warmly.
"Oh dear! Did my son call you for work when you are injured?" a woman came out of the kitchen with a motherly smile on her face. She was still wearing aprons and mitts as she looked at Nora with worry. "That child needs a scolding. Emma brought a hot chocolate cup for the little girl." The maid hurriedly left while the lady pulled Nora on the sofa.
"I apologize but my son is as insensitive as her father. You should have refused." Nora felt strange looking at the worry in the woman’s eyes. They didn’t even know each other. So, she looked away.
"I wanted to come here, Mrs Johnson. You do not need to worry about it. It is.. Nothing." The word came out with struggle when the woman sighed and looked at her with a caring and motherly aura. When was the last time someone was worried about her?
"Nonsense, I will prepare chicken soup for you. Finish the work early, and tell me when you are tired. I will ask them to leave that instant." she patted her shoulders when she noticed Victor coming out of his room and glared at her son before leaving.
"She is going to scold me for ages." Victor shook his head. But his eyes were beaming. "My mother is very sensitive when it comes to girls." he sat beside her and then whispered, "she always wanted a daughter."
"....." Nora did not know how to reply. Victor was a cold and silent boy so she had never thought he would be like that at home. Perhaps he noticed that she was feeling strange that he stopped talking about his mother.
"So, are you sure that you do not want to sell the game to us but ask for a partnership? What if the game failed? But in selling, you could be sure of your payment no matter how the game works." he asked again, but Nora shook her head confidently. She had seen the game creating magic in public. There was no doubt that it would not work.
Seeing the confidence in her eyes, Victor pressed his lips and stood up.
"Alright, then I will support you when my father asks for full rights." He started walking already and Nora followed him closely.
They took a large door that parted the house. The warm colors faded instantly and were replaced by a cold metallic look. A man was sitting on the chair and typing something with a cold look on his face.
He looked like an exact copy of Victor with his glasses.
"Father, Nora is here." The man frowned deeper for being disturbed and adjusted his glasses to look for Nora.
"Ah! The designer of the game." he nodded and offered a seat to Nora. "I was waiting for you. Last night, we finished designing the prototype of the game you have planned and a few of our team members tested it.
I must say they all praised the game way too much. And though there are a few flaws, it is too good for a novice. If Victor had not vouched for you, I would have never believed that you had designed the game." a fool would have believed that he was praising her but Nora was anything but a fool.
The way a cold man spoke too much and looked at her face showed that he doubted that she had designed the game and she did not question him. Because it was true that she had not designed it.
In the future, Victor would have designed it and the idea would have brought his company to a new height. She was just a thief who had stolen the idea.
But she consoled herself. If she wanted, she could have sold the idea to other companies or worse open a company herself. But she let them launch it. She only wanted a margin of profit for her early help.
"I am honored, Mr Jhonson. You are embarrassing me. It was my mother’s idea. I found it in her files and then I became passionate about it and made some amendments. Yet you are praising it way too much. Do you think it would earn well." the man blinked as if not expecting this kind of reply.
"Miss Nora is too humble. She did not have any idea about her abilities." Then he looked at the screen. "The idea could work. But for that, I have to launch it first. And for that, I need to purchase it from you. So tell me Miss Nora. how much will you charge us for giving us the design and its copyrights?"
"Father!" Nora shook her head slightly, stopping Victor from meddling.
"Mr Jhonson, why do you not want me to be your partner?"
