"Someone else?" Danzig was confused.
Who would risk his/her own life just to get the claw?
Alex nodded: "Follow me."
He walked back inside the villa.
Danzig and Gabi looked at one another, sighed, and followed behind him, leaving their men outside.
Alex sat down, his gaze fixed on the two leaders, who sat on two other couches.
"Now listen, the World Beast Contest is coming up, and you two must win it... If you don’t want to, you can employ someone, but make sure that person wins."
"Master Alex, why are you so focused on this global competition?" Danzig asked with a slight frown.
"Electra and Leon think they’re the strongest, but if my minions win the contest, they’ll have to shut their arrogance up... But be careful, their disciples are good and have powerful beasts... And don’t worry, if you win, all the rewards belong to you; I only need the title."
"Don’t worry about it, Master Alex... It’s a piece of cake... We’ll win the contest for you... And there’s still time."
"Yeah, six months..." Danzig added.
Alex stared at the two for some seconds and stood up:
"Stay on guard; something isn’t right in Cordelia. I can feel it in my bones... Something dangerous is on the way. You all must be careful."
After saying that, he walked towards the door.
"Master Alex, won’t you come to the Tamer Academy’s contest? It’s happening next week." Gabi stood up, a smile on her face.
"I’m a busy man, Gabi... I don’t have time for such things... We’ll see each other again in six months."
"But, Master Alex... There’s a new student whose perfect-stage beast defeated a mythical-stage monster with one attack."
Alex stopped in his tracks, and even Danzig was stunned.
"Who’s this student?" he asked.
"Christopher; he’s the eldest son of the Valhalla family."
"Valhalla family? How do you know about this?" Alex asked, staring at her over his shoulder.
"I have someone watching the test; he told me about it."
Alex nodded and walked away:
"I need four members in our team; maybe he’ll be the fourth."
The two stared at Alex, who walked out of the room, and turned to one another.
"If you want to know who took your claw, find the one who destroyed the Assassin organization, then you’ll find the culprit... That’s my only advice. If you’re done heating my couch, you know the way out."
Gabi smiled and walked towards the stairs.
Danzig stared at her for some seconds, stood up, and left the mansion.
Katherine ran towards Christopher, who walked out of the stadium with Advika, and jumped into his arms.
"Whoa! Slow down, girl." Christopher said with a smile.
"You did... How would I put this? Amazing!!" Katherine said, separating from the hug.
"It’s just a test... And I wasn’t even serious during it."
Advika, who stood beside him, rolled her eyes, which Katherine noticed.
"Hi, Advika... Congratulations."
"Thanks." Advika gave a small smile.
"Ahhh!! I can’t accept that score!"
The three looked behind them, seeing Mariana walking outside with long strides... Her face was twisted in anger.
Katherine smiled at Advika and walked towards Mariana.
"What’s sister planning again?" Adonis stood beside Christopher, and the three stared at Katherine.
"Hey, Mariana... I hope you aren’t angry with your score...? An intermediate level... Just like me, shouldn’t you be happy?"
Mariana stopped in her tracks and observed Katherine from head to toe, and scoffed.
"You have low dreams, so that level is suitable for you... Now get out of my way!"
Katherine smirked and added: "It seems you’re blind... Who’s holding first place and is the strongest in the test?"
Katherine pointed a finger to her own chest:
"My... Elder... Brother..."
She sneered and added: "If my brother is so cool, why do I need to have ’big’ dreams...? When my biggest dream has come to pass... And that’s my brother showing you your rightful place."
Katherine cut her off, her finger pointing at Mariana’s nose.
Mariana stared at the finger in mild surprise.
Katherine continued: "Don’t you dare open your mouth. Don’t worry, you’ll be starting the Academy soon... Just wait for my revenge."
"Speak to my sister with respect."
A cold voice sounded, as Adrian, with two male students, walked towards them, a frown on their faces.
"Speak to my sister with respect?" Katherine turned to him and scoffed: "Does this thing deserve respect? Respect?" she asked, her gaze cold.
Adrian stood beside his sister, who instantly started crying on his chest.
"Elder Brother, she insulted me! Won’t you do anything?!"
Adrian caressed his sister’s back and glared at Katherine: "Katherine, you’ll pay for making my sister cry! Both of you, hold her down, and my sister will unleash her rage on her... We’ll see what that weak Adonis will do!"
The two nodded and rushed at Katherine with pure malice.
A powerful amount of life force moved past Katherine and collided with the two, throwing them backward.
They both fell before Adrian and his stunned sister.
They looked up at Katherine, seeing Christopher and Adonis standing on either side of her.
"You seem to have forgotten that I also have not just one, but two brothers, who’ll do everything for me," Katherine said, folding her arms on her chest.
’Saying the truth, this Miss Katherine is quite the troublemaker, and those two follow her, even pampering her. What a loving family,’ Advika thought.
She turned around and smiled at Sylvia.
’And here is my own pamperer,’ she added.
Sylvia tightly hugged her elder sister.
"Thanks, Sylvia... I hope you enjoyed the show?"
"Yeah, but the girls I sat with are bad... They kept calling me trash," Sylvia said in a low voice.
Advika separated from the hug and observed her sister’s expression: "Really?!" she asked with killing intent.
"Yeah, but after you won and took second place, I think they got intimidated and apologized to me, then quickly walked away."
Advika slowly nodded but asked: "Do you know them?"
"Nope, I just know they’re students of the Academy," Sylvia answered and turned her head to the younger generation of the two powerful families.
"Big Sister, what are they doing?"
Advika turned her head to Christopher and shook her head: "Just watch the show, Sylvia. That’s what I’ve been doing."
