Return of the Youngest Son with SSS-Rank Talent Chapter 93

As time passed, support arrived for the affected parties, quickly bringing the situation under control.

But in this first attack, the wild beasts of viscount rank made no move.

Not long after, the first golden rays of the sun began to illuminate Kiran Mountain, bringing an end to this long night where many families were destroyed by the wild beasts.

At the northern and southern ends of the city, heart-rending cries still hung in the air. They mingled with the stench of blood. Corpses were piled up in disorder: beasts, children, pregnant women, knights, magicians, nobles, and commoners. They all ended up the same, with empty eyes, their flesh torn open, their stories cut short.

Kael watched them from the top of a partially destroyed tower, with the same calmness with which one contemplates a stream of water.

Death did not surprise him. Nor did it repulse him. It only confirmed what he had always known: that the world was neither fair nor unfair, it was simply indifferent. And in that brutal indifference, those who had no power were swept away and forgotten.

What once had a name was now just a number. Meat without a story. A dead mother, a child pierced by a wolf’s claw, a knight who had no luck. In this world, death was common, but oblivion was universal. None of them would be remembered for long.

The family would mourn for a few days, perhaps a few weeks. Then, everyday problems would set in: hunger, need, the obligation to survive. And then the tears would dry up. The face of the dead would become blurred. And with time... it would disappear.

Kael knew it. He had lived through it.

That’s why he didn’t cry. That’s why he didn’t hesitate.

With a calm movement, he climbed down from the partially destroyed watchtower, but before he reached the ground, his gaze turned toward the forest, where danger still lurked.

Kael’s eyes narrowed for a brief moment. For now, everything was unfolding partially as he had planned; he was waiting for the variables to occur so he could adapt quickly.

Because he knew very well that no plan ever goes perfectly, and with his years of experience, he always thought of the worst possible outcome.

One of the knights who was there approached him to report:

"The situation has stabilized for now. There are silver wolves and lightning boars, but they are no longer in large numbers."

Kael nodded as he gave orders:

"Organize several groups to finish off the remaining wild beasts and a scouting party to keep an eye on their movements."

"Yes, young master!" replied the knight before hastily retreating.

The sudden attack by the beasts had changed the internal balance of the clan. With the crisis underway, the young lords and ladies now had greater room for maneuver: the authority delegated to them by their elders allowed them to make critical decisions to prove their worth as future leaders.

Kael didn’t let that opportunity pass him by.

He moved with a freedom he hadn’t had before. The labor shortage and widespread chaos had significantly reduced surveillance of his movements.

All he had to do now was wait for the right moment to infiltrate the vault and take what he wanted: the rewards hidden in its deepest levels... and, above all, that Zu kept in the deepest depths.

Kael began to walk toward the mansion to report on the situation. However, he already knew that the elders inside were aware of what was happening in the city.

As he walked silently through the cobblestone streets, his thoughts began to take shape.

Now that everything has come to a head... It’s time to eliminate Jasper.

His gaze grew deeper, as if weighing the weight of the world in a single moment.

It seems that the time has finally come to use Evelyn.

A faint smile crossed his face, as fleeting as a shadow, barely visible.

With the members of the great families present, the elderly inmates are bound. They cannot move freely or deploy troops because they would only be digging their graves...

His thoughts raced without pause.

This is the ideal moment to activate the infiltrators. A synchronized attack from within, coinciding with a charge by the wild beasts. Chaos on all sides...

He had been preparing everything since before awakening his core. From the moment of his regression, the fall of the Medici Clan had been only a matter of time.

Every step, every word, everything was built with one purpose: the fall of the Medici Clan.

And now, finally, the fruits were beginning to ripen.

After half an hour’s journey, Kael finally arrived at the mansion. He did not stop to rest or exchange unnecessary words: he headed straight for the room where the clan’s elders were gathered.

Upon entering, everyone present turned their gaze toward him. Without wasting any time, Kael began his report.

He described in detail the situation in the north, how he had managed to stabilize the area after his arrival, the squads he had organized to eliminate the remaining beasts, and the measures he had put in place to ensure control of the area.

The elders listened in complete silence, nodding occasionally. When he finished, several let out a barely perceptible sigh of relief.

The situation had been on the verge of spiraling out of control, and thanks to Kael’s timely intervention, they now had some room to maneuver. They could reinforce their defenses without neglecting the members of the great families who were present.

The elderly Colson approached with a slight smile and placed a hand solemnly on Kael’s shoulder.

"You have done an excellent job, Kael. You prevented a catastrophe for the clan. When all this is over, you will receive your reward as you deserve. You have earned it hands down."

Kael nodded silently, showing no emotion. His expression remained indifferent. He then turned and left the room, leaving behind the elders, who immediately resumed their deliberations on the next steps to take.

Several hours later, in a room on the second floor of a tavern, several infiltrators from the Kingdom of Lion sat with grim expressions, because next to them were infiltrators from the Holy Empire.

And sitting in front of them, the young man with long black hair, dressed in black with a bamboo hat and a coin mask covering the lower part of his face, looked at them indifferently.

Everyone knew that if it weren’t for the young man standing there, they wouldn’t have given the Medici Clan such a scare, and they were curious as to why he had called them.

Kael looked at the infiltrators; a cold smile appeared on his lips, but it was hidden by the mask, and he spoke.
