"Don’t worry uncle, that’s not a big deal. We can go look for supplies later." Leng Pan said.
She wasn’t worried about a lack of supplies as her space had a lot of them. However, she still didn’t plan on using them.
They had to go scavenge for supplies like other people.
"When can you get fresh supplies? I think you can’t find fresh vegetables and meat, so that is going to be a problem. At least, with the meat.
Fresh vegetables aren’t a problem as your aunt is taking care of them, but meat...." Uncle Li dragged out the last words because he was also finding it challenging.
They had almost run out of meat and truthfully, this family was eating meat like they were carnivores.
The awakening of superpowers seemed to have changed their DNA a bit, causing their diet to lean more towards carnivores.
Even though they ate vegetables and fruits like before, compared to meat, it was nothing. He was also worried that animals had also mutated into zombies and could no longer be eaten.
If that was the case, then they would have a problem.
Leng Pan thought that meat wasn’t a problem either as she had a lot. But then thinking about all the meat that appears on the dining table every day and gets swept clean within minutes, she started to doubt whether the meat she had bought before the apocalypse was enough.
Thinking of a situation where they might become total vegetarians because there weren’t any edible animals and all the meat in the space was exhausted, she couldn’t help but shiver.
She did not want to become a rabbit that only ate vegetables.
Lu Zhen felt her s wife shiver beside him and wondered whether she had caught a cold. Grabbing her hands, he found that they were warm.
He looked at her with worried eyes only to see her face etched with despair.
"What happened?" He asked in a low voice.
Even though his voice was lowered to almost a whisper, everyone in that room had heightened senses due to their superpowers. So, they heard him loud and clear.
Leng Pan looked at her worried husband and said, "I just can’t imagine becoming a full vegetarian. What will we do if we eat all the meat and can’t find edible animals to slaughter?"
When he heard the reason for her current state, Lu Zhen didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. He had thought that something serious had happened, but this woman was worried about not having meat to eat.
If others who were worrying about world problems and how to overcome the zombies found out about this they would probably curse at her.
The other family members burst into laughter when they heard Leng Pan’s words. They had never thought she had a comedic streak in her.
Who at this moment was worrying about being a vegetarian or a meat eater? Everyone was worried whether they would wake up the next day and turn into zombies. Others worried that they had cleaned out all the food and snacks in their houses and would soon starve to death.
Yet, here she was, worrying about her diet not having meat. It is hilarious and refreshing at the same time.
They were glad that she had finally come around before the apocalypse and married into their family.
"Don’t worry, we will definitely find meat. Let’s go to the slaughter house today. I am sure they have freezer rooms there that must have enough meat to last us a long time.
But then we will need bigger freezers here too to be able to store enough meat to last us for a while." Lu Zhen said as he coaxed his wife.
"Why don’t we move the freezer in my kitchen and the other one in my store room here. I am sure they will be enough to store meat and other supplies requiring refrigeration for a long time." Leng Pan suggested.
Lu Zhen turned to her and raised an eyebrow. He knew quite well that even though there was indeed a freezer in the kitchen, there definitely wasn’t any in the store room.
So, where was she planning on getting another one? He also knew that her space didn’t have an empty freezer.
Leng Pan could feel her husband’s gaze and turned to wink at him. They were going out for a supply run. She could pick a freezer in the mall.
She and Lu Zhen had already advanced and had developed various ways to attack and defend.
She could also create a mimicry of herself to act as a decoy. So, she didn’t plan on giving herself a hard time by not using the space anymore.
She was going to start using the space again. Moreover, she wanted to check on that meteorite. She still remembered the voice they had heard before.
She wanted to get to the bottom of that as well.

"Okay Mom. Goodnight everyone." Leng Pan said as she got up.
Lu Zhen followed suit and stood up as well.
"You will tomorrow morning for the supply run. You need to get out there and see what the world has become." Lu Zhen said as he looked at his younger brother.
Lu Tao was surprised by his brother’s statement and raised his head to look at him. When he found Lu Zhen looking straight at him, he knew that he was talking to him
"Yes, big brother." Lu Tao agreed readily.
He had actually wanted to go out and check out everything for himself for a while now. But he didn’t dare to ask for fear of becoming a burden to his brother and sister-in-law.
But now, since his brother had said he should follow them, then he was happy to go.
No one else had an opinion about this as they knew that Lu Zhen had his reasons for saying that.
