"You’re pregnant," he reminded sternly.
On the other end of the line, the corners of Gan Yuan’s lips lifted as she glanced towards the banquet hall downstairs.
"At such a party, I have to socialize a bit. I’ll head back to my room soon."

"I’ve checked it out, and your previous suspicions were correct. The matter with Duke Locke was indeed Qian Xueying’s doing. I’ve just come back from her place. I suspect she arranged for someone to take photos from outside, but they probably didn’t capture anything."
On the other side of the phone, Gan Yuan burst out laughing.
"So, you’re notifying me first, to prevent any misunderstanding, is that it?"
The man chuckled, "Would you?"
"I wouldn’t misunderstand, but I would get jealous," she said straightforwardly and clearly, "Did you kiss her?"
"I’m not that disgusting."
Just being touched by her was already repulsive enough.
He’d rather kiss a dog!
"It was just a meal, and she only touched my fingers and clothes. I’ve already washed my hands, and the clothes have been discarded!"
