A Heavy-Weight Golf Club
Chen Yinian looked at An Xiaowan, his eyes glazed over with a far off look.
It was as if that spirited girl from years ago had reappeared before him, ever-so brilliant and stunning. She was always comfortable being extraordinary, which made her seem invincible and untouchable. She was the embodiment of pride and confidence.
It was a pity that she had such a scheming and devious heart.
Chen Yinian frowned as he walked over to pick out his golf club. He then handed An Xue her golf-club as well.
An Xue shook her head at him and did not the golf club from Chen Yinian. Instead, she extended her hand and indicated towards the golf club held by An Xiaowan. “Sis, that’s our club you’re holding on to.”
There was nothing special about the golf club that An Xiaowan was holding. It was evident that An Xue was only trying to make things difficult for An Xiowan.
“You want this?”
Instead of approaching An Xue, An Xiaowan pursed her lips and suddenly flung the golf club at her. “Catch!”
“Ah!” An Xue screamed as she froze like a deer caught in headlights, staring in horror at the golf club whirling towards her.
Chen Yinian leaped in front of An Xue in a flash, and his long arm shot out to catch the golf club.
Chen Yinian’s eyes were gloomy, and he spoke in a low ruthless voice.
“An Xiaowan, you better watch out.”
“Makes you heartbroken?” An Xiaowan���s lips parted slightly as she smirked, looking at the couple in disdain. “What makes you think you are my match when you can’t even hold on to your golf club properly?”
An Xue tightly grabbed the golf club in Chen Yinian’s hands. The wave of humiliation surging inside her, caused her body tremble unconsciously.
An Xiaowan has always been like that since their childhood days. She always exuded a glowing aura, adding to her gracefulness. With An Xiaowan’s every action filled with charm and praised by everyone, An Xue felt herself as an ugly duckling whenever people looked her way.
It was all unbearably annoying.
An Xue masked the seething rage in her eyes. “Make sure it is a fair game,” she instructed the caddie beside her, “and use only professional golf clubs.”
She feigned a slight groan and clapped her hands together. “How about this, bring out the golf club that was meant for Brother Ming, we’ll let An Xiaowan use that.”
Everyone’s eyes flickered.
Brother Ming… He was a muscular man and worked out rigorously every day for his physique. His golf clubs must be quite heavy.
As Chen Yinian was on good terms with Brother Ming, he had a golf club custom-made for Brother Ming. It was of professional standards, excellent texture quality, and had a swing-weight that was heavier than standard.
After a while, the caddie brought a silver-colored golf club.
When An Xiaowan took it from the caddie, her arm suddenly dipped with the weight of the golf club.
It was indeed heavy.
The weight and quality of a golf club are the two most important factors for a golfer.
Women are generally physically weaker; therefore, their golf clubs are made of light-weight material so as not to hinder the force of their swings. However, this particular golf club was made for a man’s use, and especially for a muscular man, and thus was way heavier than a normal one.
An Xue softly held onto Chen Yinian’s arm and whispered, “Don’t be mad at me. We have our golf clubs now, let’s do some practice swings.”
Chen Yinian looked at her thoughtfully. He wanted to say something, but he felt at a loss for words.
When he got that golf club custom-made for Brother Ming, he had himself tested it. It was indeed quite heavy.
So much so, that even he could not achieve a good swing with it.
An Xue turned towards An Xiaowan and asked, “You first?”
“Sure,” replied An Xiaowan curtly.
She took the golf club and tried to feel its weight on her hands, trying her best to get accustomed to it. Finally, she placed the ball and stood in position.
All eyes were focused on An Xiaowan with anticipation.
They were expecting her to make a fool of herself.
Meanwhile, on a high raised gallery, a tall and handsome man stood behind the French windows, and his gaze set upon the beautiful figure on the golf course, holding a golf club.
When he noticed she was dressed as a golf partner, a wave of displeasure came over him.
He was informed that this foolish woman had already been escorted to the bungalow this morning.
He had given her a big house, many servants to wait on her. But instead of indulging and enjoying herself, she is here, accompanying guests as a golf partner!
This woman has no regard for Huo Shen’s reputation!
