Chopping Vegetables And Fingers
Sick?
Did they correctly hear her? Did that woman just say Young Master Huo was sick?
She must be tired of living!
Upon hearing her words, Huo Shen’s face turned black.
There was a harsh coldness covering his handsome and charming face.
“Who said I wouldn’t touch it?” An Xiaowan was taken aback by his icy cold stare.
Then, with a slight pull of his hand, all the dishes on the table were swept onto the floor.
He pressed An Xiaowan onto the table, his tall physique pressing her down. His deep and majestic voice sounded out, as he spoke, “To touch or not to touch, depends on my wish.”
Huo Shen reached behind her with his large hand and pulled at the zip of her dress.
However, An Xiaowan was brewing a nasty temper.
She caught him off guard, lifted her legs, and kicked hard at his calves.
Huo Shen’s body remained as steady as a rock. However, the chilling look in his eyes was terrifying.
At this point, the temperature in the house seemed to have plunged to sub-zero levels.
An Xiaowan gasped.
The servants had long retreated from the dining room in fear. Only leaving behind a frightening silence for An Xiaowan.
Huo Shen’s eyes had a look of impenetrable iciness, as he pressed her down harder.
An Xiaowan was choking for air and reached out with her hands to push him off.
But Huo Shen was standing rooted to his place. He extended his large hands, grabbed both of her rebellious arms, and pinned them down above her head.
At that moment, An Xiaowan suddenly jolted and let out a painful groan.
“It hurts, let go of me!”
Huo Shen looked down and saw the eyes of the woman beneath him, a layer of moisture brimming at its corner.
She was not a particularly frail lady. It must be really hurting her, for her to groan this way.
He frowned and looked up at her arms.
Only then did he realize the woman’s smooth and fair arms were now blotched with patches of red like a gaudy pattern.
Was she injured?
With his brows still slightly knitted, Huo Shen released his grip on her.
The woman seized the opportunity to speedily scramble away from beneath him, like a rabbit escaping from its cage.
An Xiaowan flew into the next room and slammed the door shut.
It startled the servants waiting outside the dining room when they saw An Xiaowan dashing out alone.
After much contemplation, Assistant Luo summoned his courage and knocked on the dining-room door. “Young Master.”
“Get in here and clear the mess!”
Huo Shen sounded rather agitated.
Assistant Luo asked the servants in a fluster and went in to clean up the mess.
Looking at the food scattered all over the floor, Assistant Luo could not help but whisper timidly, “Young Master Huo, Ms. An really put in lots of effort today. She made the dishes a few times before getting the right taste and then made them for you.”
Huo Shen’s eyes flickered, but his lips remained tightly pursed, and his handsome face was a glacier of ice.
Seeing that Huo Shen did not get angry, Assistant Luo’s courage grew bolder and continued. “Ms. An even cut her fingers a few times while chopping the vegetables. She was bleeding quite badly. But she was afraid the vegetables might smell of blood, so she would throw them away and start chopping a new batch. In fact, it happened many times…”
Assistant Luo spoke very calmly. But once his words reached Huo Shen’s ears, he felt vexed.
What a foolish woman!
Cut her fingers while chopping vegetables?
Who allowed her to cook in the first place?
Huo Shen straightened his collar and looked at the mess of food on the floor. All he could feel was a strange and uncontrollable rage overwhelming his senses.
“Get the car ready.”
Huo Shen coldly commanded, then went to the main door in long strides.
Assistant Luo paused two seconds, feeling sorry for An Xiaowan, then hurried off to the car.
After getting into the car, Huo Shen continued looking out of the window. He suddenly blurted, “The magazine’s photoshoot Tomorrow.”
Assistant Luo was caught off guard and hesitated for a second before saying, “The photoshoot is for ‘Fashion Divas’, that’s one of the most popular magazines. Is that what you were asking, Young Master Huo?”
“Yes.” Huo Shen’s eyes were deep in thought. As the landscape outside the window raced by, his gaze remained still and emotionless.
He spoke again in a bland tone. “Arrange for her to do that photoshoot.”
