The sudden voice startled Chen Nan, who quickly turned around and saw Lan Yuqin also on the wall, currently sticking her head out over the top, looking at him with some concern.
Looking at Lan Yuqin lying on the fence, Chen Nan felt an urge to burst into laughter; for a teacher, her current position was rather indecent.
“Teacher, I’m fine, just be careful not to fall yourself.”
Lan Yuqin glared at him, “You little rascal, what were you doing climbing the wall if you weren’t hurt? If you had been injured, what then? If you wanted to leave school, couldn’t you have just asked me for leave?”
Seeing the concern in Lan Yuqin’s eyes, Chen Nan chuckled, “Just this once, it won’t happen again.”
Lan Yuqin nodded, about to scold him a bit, but just then, she heard Su Qingqing’s voice—
“Dummy, who are you talking to?”

“Teacher, we’ll be right back; it’s you who should be careful and not fall,” Chen Nan suddenly interjected.
Lan Yuqin gave him a glare, “I’m standing on bricks. I won’t fall. Hurry up and get back… Ah!”
Before she could finish her sentence, Lan Yuqin let out a shriek. In the next moment, Chen Nan noticed she was no longer on the wall, and then came her pained cries of “Ouch.”
Chen Nan and the two beauties exchanged looks and called out, “Lan Teacher, you’re not hurt, are you?”
“I’m fine,” came Lan Yuqin’s frustrated voice.
“Really? You’re okay?”
“I’m really okay, hurry back to me in the office. Yikes… oh, my butt.”
The last part was spoken very softly, audible only to Chen Nan with his exceptional hearing. He chuckled and said, “Since that’s the case, we’re relieved. Just wait, and we’ll be right back.”
After speaking, Chen Nan, hand in hand with Su Qingqing and Liu Tiantian, walked away.
“Are we really going back?” Su Qingqing asked reluctantly in a low voice.
Chen Nan placed a hand on her shoulder and laughed, “Only a dummy would return! Let’s go grab a bite to eat first.”
Seeing the two hooking arms, Liu Tiantian pouted and reached for Chen Nan’s other hand, placing it on her own shoulder, “Hmph, cousin, you’re biased, you only like her and not me.”
Chen Nan felt helpless. He had gotten used to putting an arm around Su Qingqing’s shoulder, just like she enjoyed having him carry her.
“Qingqing and I are like siblings, so it’s natural for me to rest my arm on her shoulder. I didn’t want to take advantage with you, that’s why I didn’t.” Chen Nan made up an excuse on the spot.

After looking at the caller ID, Chen Nan frowned and handed the phone to Su Qingqing, “You do a fine job acting cute in front of her. You answer it.”
Su Qingqing was stunned for a moment but stepped back quickly when she saw the call was from Lan Yuqin. She shook her head like a rattle-drum and pouted, “Whoever picks up will get scolded. I’m not that foolish!”
Chen Nan turned his gaze to Liu Tiantian.
Too bad, before he could speak, Liu Tiantian shook her head, “Cousin, you answer it. She’s not my homeroom teacher…”
Gazing at the number on the phone, Chen Nan bit his lip and finally, with a resolve, slid his finger across the screen to accept the call and quickly said, “Lan Teacher, hello! Have you had dinner? If not, you should go eat; it’s not good to starve yourself. If there’s nothing else, I’ll hang up the phone now…”
