A few minutes later, Li Mengjie saw a large Armani Store in front of them. She turned to look at Leng Xuan and was thinking about an excuse to buy him a couple of outfits when she heard Ling Xuejiu say, "Xiao Jie, let’s go check out the clothes in there."
"Huh?" Li Mengjie paused, not understanding what Ling Xuejiu meant. So she asked, "Xue Jiu, they sell Armani there, men’s clothing. What are you planning to do?"
"I know they are men’s clothing!" Ling Xuejiu snorted at Li Mengjie and then pouted, saying, "Just look at him, following us in his school uniform. People might think we are students too. It’s just too embarrassing."
"We are students, aren’t we?"
"Stop talking nonsense. If he’s going to be my bodyguard, he can’t be too embarrassing. Let’s buy him a couple of outfits. That way, it won’t be too awkward to call him out in the future." After saying this, Ling Xuejiu did not regard Li Mengjie’s frustrated expression but turned to Leng Xuan and said, "Hey, Leng Xuan, come here!"
Leng Xuan, confused and thinking the girl was going to trouble him again, still walked over with resolve, only for Ling Xuejiu to turn and head straight into the Armani Store. An attractive and tall waiter immediately came to greet them. When he saw the beauty of Ling Xuejiu and Li Mengjie, he was clearly stunned and then smiled obsequiously, "Welcome to Armani. May I help you with anything?"
Without giving the waiter a second glance, Ling Xuejiu said, "Leng Xuan, just come in and pick whatever you like. Uh, you might want to try them on first to see if they fit!"

The waiter was also surprised and then noticed the boy in the school uniform with a rather unsophisticated hairstyle following behind. His heart sunk with a bit of frustration because both Ling Xuejiu and Li Mengjie were dressed in top-tier labels, fitting for young ladies of status. Although he was just a waiter, his discerning eye could tell that Ling Xuejiu and Li Mengjie were not of simple backgrounds. Yet, he had not expected that girls of their status would associate with someone looking so unsophisticated.
"What are you spacing out for? I told you to come and try on some clothes!" Ling Xuejiu glared at Leng Xuan irritably. What was with this guy? Out of the goodness of her heart, she was trying to buy him clothes, and he just stood there looking clueless, not even uttering a thank you, which was infuriating.
Actually, when Li Mengjie had mentioned going shopping at school, Ling Xuejiu had already thought of buying clothes for Leng Xuan, but she hadn’t intended to bring him along. She didn’t want to see a grateful, fawning Leng Xuan, which would disgust her. However, now that Leng Xuan showed no sign of gratitude, she couldn’t help but feel a sense of irritation and thought to herself, ’Really ungrateful, huh!’
