In the afternoon, Shen Tan showed up at Z University, looking for Shen Weiyi to mooch off a meal.

In the same canteen, a girl was sitting across from Qin Ruo.
"What’s the matter? You got into Z University and still not happy?" Ye Yao asked as she raised an eyebrow at her younger cousin’s sulky face.
Ye Yao was also a student at Z University, in her senior year, and was currently preparing to take the entrance exams for a Master’s degree at the same school. Unless something unexpected happened, she would continue her studies at Z University for the next few years.
Qin Ruo poked at the rice in front of her with chopsticks, grumbling, "Isn’t it because of those girls in our dorm? They’re so annoying. If I had known, I wouldn’t have applied to Z University."
Ye Yao gave her a look and said, "Don’t talk nonsense. Do you think just anyone can get into Z University? If it weren’t for..." She stopped midway, catching herself, "Anyway, don’t be foolish. Now that you’re here, study hard and don’t waste such a good opportunity."

If you don’t change your high-and-mighty attitude, you’re bound to suffer," Ye Yao said, knowing her cousin’s temper all too well, spoiled by her family with a princess complex, always thinking that everyone should cater to her, which of course easily led to conflicts.
Qin Ruo had no patience for the lecture and was about to say something when she spotted Shen Weiyi lining up to get food at the counter.

She couldn’t help but scoff and say, "What bad luck, some people just can’t seem to stay away."
Ye Yao followed her gaze and immediately recognized Shen Tan at the counter, then noticed Shen Weiyi beside her. Turning to Qin Ruo, she asked, "You know them?"
Qin Ruo said irritably, "She’s the one I’ve been telling you about."
"You mean the one who stays in your dorm and likes to oppose you?" After scrutinizing the direction where Shen Weiyi was for a moment, Ye Yao asked, "Is her surname Shen by any chance?"
"Exactly!" Qin Ruo nodded furiously, then, realizing something, pressed on, "Cousin, you know that girl? How do you know her surname is Shen?"
"If my guess is right, she should be from the Shen Family," Ye Yao said.
"You mean your rich boyfriend’s Shen Family?" Some time ago, Ye Yao had started dating a wealthy boyfriend reputed to be the young master from the second branch of the Shen Family.
As a family with prestige in City C, Shen Family had often been the subject of Qin Ruo’s envy.
