Shen Weiyi raised her eyes at Qin Ruo, who suddenly blocked her way, and asked, "Is there something wrong?"
Qin Ruo’s gaze passed her and rested on Sheng Ting next to her, trying to put on a relaxed expression as she greeted him, "Hello, I’m Qin Ruo."
Seeing Sheng Ting’s cold demeanor, she reluctantly added, "I’m also Shen Weiyi’s roommate."
Shen Weiyi looked at her skeptically, wondering what drama she was trying to start this time.
Noticing her stare was fixed on Sheng Ting’s face, Shen Weiyi immediately understood.
The next second, she heard Qin Ruo ask again, "Can I go to dinner with you guys?"
Sheng Ting glanced in Shen Weiyi’s direction, saw her indifferent reaction, and understood her stance; then he replied, "Sorry, it’s not convenient."
"Why?" Qin Ruo’s face fell immediately, and she demanded unhappily, "I just heard you invite someone else. We’re all roommates, why don’t you invite me? Did Shen Weiyi say something about me?" She finished off with a resentful look toward Shen Weiyi.
She considered herself well-acquainted with various people, but someone as self-centered as her was definitely a first.
"Let’s go!" Shen Weiyi said, not wanting to argue, looking directly at Sheng Ting.
As they were about to leave, they heard Qin Ruo shout loudly, "Don’t you walk away! We need to clear this up today, why do you treat me differently? This is exclusion! I’m going to complain to the tutor about you."
Shen Weiyi responded: "Then go ahead!"
"You..." Qin Ruo’s face turned livid with anger.
"Sorry, it’s not her issue, I just don’t want to have dinner with people I dislike," came Sheng Ting’s indifferent voice.
Qin Ruo’s expression froze, looking affronted, she pointed at herself and asked, "Are you saying I’m the person you dislike?"
Sheng Ting seriously replied, "Yes, you have no problem understanding that."
If it weren’t for the improper timing, Shen Weiyi would have burst out laughing.
She hadn’t expected him to be so blunt.
With her face purple with rage and her features twisted in anger, Qin Ruo glared hatefully at Shen Weiyi before turning and walking away.
"Are you okay?" Sheng Ting asked Shen Weiyi after she left.
Shen Weiyi spoke in surprise, "What could be wrong with me?" Since she wasn’t the one frustrated.
"If you’re unhappy in the dormitory, you could apply to change your room," Sheng Ting said, his gaze softening as he observed her.
"There’s not really anything to be unhappy about," Shen Weiyi replied, although Qin Ruo was troublesome, it was apparent her intelligence was not very high, hardly stirring up any real trouble.
Seeing her calm demeanor, Sheng Ting didn’t pursue the matter further.
After a pause, he cycled back to another topic, "By the way, about the online video..."
"I saw it, it’s fine," Shen Weiyi knew what he wanted to ask and answered him immediately as he began to speak.
Looking at her, Sheng Ting’s voice was clear and light, "If something happens again, you can contact me, and I’ll help you deal with it."
Shen Weiyi replied nonchalantly, "It’s just a small matter; really, even if it’s left unaddressed, it’s okay." At most, she would just get discussed a bit more, which she was used to since she was young.
Sheng Ting looked deeply into her eyes and appeared much relieved as he said, "As long as it doesn’t bother you."
